bigboybanshee
LOL, thanks Bruce...and I agree, there's no need to go into any more details on the issue, and I did appreciate you taking the time to elaborate on your opinion to help me understand. Moving forward........... Dave, you're correct, I run Grand River cylinders, pipes, swingarm, etc. etc. I'm really pleased with what I have and the porting Andy did on them, I just wanted to try someone different. I've always liked Jeff and have been extremely happy with his customer service, so I wanted to have him do the porting on my cubs. I've seen several of his bikes run and they were all impressive. I knew I couldn't go wrong with him! I still plan to run the Grand River pipes with the cub, call me silly but I don't want to run shearers because everyone and their grandma have them (no offense to those who run shearers). I love my GRR pipes, they're sick....the quality is top notch, they look and perform awesome. Andy really does a great job making pipes. Thanks for the kind words about my bike, it'll look a little bit different for the next race season!! :woot:
RIPPEN
Well Put, Travis.I carefully and purposely did not personally bash Odaen. And, in fact on this forum AND in PM's I told him I respected his knowledge and help, but we'll just have to agree to disagree. One thing is for sure, I'm very glad this didn't turn into a TRUE bitch fest, name calling, tough guy typing and personal insults.... And good for you Dave, I tip toed much closer to the "disrepect" line than I should have so Odean I do apologize for that. I usually try to do my best and treat others in a respectfull way even if I disagree.. Some of the "shots" Odean has posted I felt were outta line but like the old saying goes, I guess two wrongs don't make a right.. dajogejr
Travis... If I didn't have to worry about sparkies, etc. at the dunes, I'd love to try some outta frame GRR...but, it is what it is. I said I wasn't going to do it...but, when I get a 450 for the trails, I'm gonna go all our drag on my shee, which...will probably mean out of frames. We shall see!! FASTOYS
quote Odean: Yes, there is more to the story, but who really cares? Yes, we will have to agree to disagree. I simply thought it was funny that he got busted for doing the same shit that I've busted his balls on here for so many times. I had zero to do with it, nor am I affiliated with Charlie or Planet Sand. I care! For the record i didnt DO anything on PS to get banned. Charlie banned me cause so many people were "referring" me to others and he didnt like that and called it public advertising. I never pushed anything or publically advertised over there contrary to your beliefs. Odean some of your remarks just add unneeded drama to HQ. There is enough drama in this world without your little disrespectful jabs. You are welcome to pm me if you like as im not even sure what this discussion we had ("the story") was all about in the first place but if i told you the truth that i didnt know about something you were running on your setup then why would you bash me for my honesty. Im not gonna lie to you and blow smoke up your azz just to make you happy. Carry on.

My RDZ/Shearer inframes still get the job done very well, and I was lucky enough to get them in Show Chrome.... Might think about GRR end of next year's season, though... Shearers seem to be excellent pipes...just figured I'd pass the word on about the GRR's, didn't know if people knew Andy could/would throw some silencers on his suicide pipes  Maybe we can get together sometime this upcoming year for some racing...our setups should be very similar

I'm thinking end of this year...if it all holds together I'll spend a day of T&T at Bob's to see what some GRRs can do for me, that's just simply an offer I can't refuse!! Maybe tune in the dyna while I"m out there!! Trav...would love to meet up and ride. I think the sand drags and Silver Lake will be my primary rides this year, but a trip...maybe 2 to OK Little Sahara might be in the cards!!! That cheetah of your should put the hurtin on my little cub, but...it's all in good fun anyway you look at it!!

dajogejr
C'mon up Travis. I've got a place to crash, less than 2 hours from the drag strip...but a solid 4.5 hours from Silver lake Dunes...if you wanted to go to Silver Lake...it'd be hotel/motel time! However, my 4 mil just sold...and I'm going 10 mil. Should be a good year!!!
ojcool
I can understand why it was deleted. Not that I agree with it, BUT I can understand. The whole purpose in the fisrt place was to let others know what was happening. Not necasarily trying to BASH someone, just trying to inform other racers. No there is never any excuse for deleting a thread unless there is profanity or racism. I have seen that kind of bs on many boards. People have a right to post whatever thay want... Especially when it has to do with money. Moderators who protect sponsors are not doing the board any favors and it should be questioned if they should have that position. They are serving their own needs 9 times out of ten. ie they have some kind of discount with the sponsor. They know they will never get ripped off since the sponsor would never take that chance.. In fact I would venture to guess that this individuals drag frame got pushed onto the back burner multiple times due to the shop wanting to please some moderators by doing their stuff fast. It's like that in most speed shops, they have their little buddies they do stuff for and all the regular customers end up financing it.
