creamsickle
make sure you still ahve a good ground. We have ran extra ground wires from the head to the frame just to make sure. make sure that your plug caps are good, if you have to taek them off adn clip the coil wires to makes sure there is a good connection. if you have a friend with a banshee start swapping out parts. it will help to eliminate and narrow down the problem. check your compression, always a wise thing to do when you rebuilt a top end. do you have the tors still? sould be a cdi going out. dajogejr
If all these fail, remove your flywheel and shake it. See if you have broken up or scattered magnets inside. My cub did the same thing. Started easy, idled fine, reved out good until it hit about 6 or 7K, then it just broke up and fell on it's face. This is after a fresh build and seal....ended up being a bad flywheel.
shanYE west
I know what you are saying on the sled motors Dave, but have you ever seen the arctic cat run up at Silver Lake? That bike is amazing. He has time slips in the 3.6's, he's not a small guy, no wheelie bar, no power adders. I believe he chimes in at 860cc. Bike could have recently been had for $8500. I wanted to cry sitting here w/empty pockets. And I forgot to mention, it is a twin! check the gap on your pickup too....
