Nope no dyno results to prove it and maybe its all in my head. but you know what? Im okay with that. Anyway just my .02 Im sure im going to have somebody get pissed at me for this but im okay with that also. Aaron.D
Well, I called that mechanic I know working out of the bar parking lot. You, Know the one I was talking about just the other day. Asked him about the whole boost bottle thing, Since no one could at least explain to me why they are trash. I had said I am a technical guy. Maybe even too worried about theories at times. So moving on. He told me."Yaa the theory makes sense. Room for expansion over all. That's where it stops, At the theory and the math on paper work. Overall, No Major advantages. Yaa, For sure it does serve a purpose. That part is true. Its all how high the overall gain. The end result. As I have been told over and over again, until this turned into a cluster fuck. So All I can say at this point with my pride in the tunnel. If you guys are here to help? Why could someone have not just explained it to me? Not saying it's any one else's fault. I guess I just am too dam stubborn when it comes to understanding why. when that's always what I have been told as far as the boost bottle. They sold me, So over all its been a good show, for all. As for these shops in Michigan. Not my intent to slander these guy's. Just don't know who they are.and it seems like a good time to take a new look. People to give me the facts, not just sell me on shit parts. I indeed have been in the two stroke circuit for some time. ill work to serve that back over time, as well as taking a new lesson away. Hope all can be well in the chats from hear on out. I know you gentleman will say what you have to say. I just ask you remember what I said in an early post. If someone could just explain, then I would step down and say I was wrong. So I was.
dajogejr
More than fair enough... It's unfortunate things get sold off the shelf when it comes to items like these. You've come to the right place for research and answers. Mathematics and theory will only go so far. Theory is just that, if it were otherwise, it'd be called fact. No hard feelings, water under the bridge. By the way, the shops I've listed in MI are really drag banshee shops. I'm thinking if you want an all around builder, my choice would be Jeff @ FAST Racing. Sure, he builds very fast drag banshees too, but....the other guys are 99% geared towards it, and I'd say Jeff is much more well rounded. Aaron.D
Thanks how do you feel about the wires. A worthwhile investment? If So I would imagine the BR8ES would have to be replaced with ????
dajogejr
I use a Nology coil and their hotwires....and still used BR8ES plugs. Between that and my Dyna ignition, they provide a better, hotter and quicker spark. No need to change the heat range. That being said, since I'm going to alcohol, I'll be moving to a colder plug, a BR9EGV... I think Aaron it'd be in all our best interest to let this thread die. You've shown in your last two posts you've got legitimate questions and want to learn.... I'd start a new one if you want advice, rather than digging this one up over and over again.... agreed?? LiftdT4R
Chimin' in kinda late with my .02 here, but Aaron, I have an ongoing feud with my buddy that I order all my parts from at the cycle shop. He swares that reed spacers and boost bottles help the "flow". COmplete BS, and he's an awesome guy, knows a shitload about bikes, but could never understand the whole "flow" thing. A lot of these cycle shops really do believe the whole boost bottle crap, doesnt mean they are bad or out to get you, just the way they are I guess.
