chase@miamiatv.com
make sure that stupid little mini cross over tube that runs inbetween the two carbs is connected . not the two for the boost bottle. im talking about the ones on the insides of the carbs , the hose is about a inch or so long and needs to be connected in order to work. If anyone has dyno results to show it helps , please do ! Milo_32000

Aaron.D
Honestly, The Boost bottle is going to do you more good over all. It lets the air pressure equalize between the duel Carb's allow it to run smoother. Unless you are running a 2 to 1 Carb system or do nothing with the banshee except for drag then you are better off getting one. Bridging the tubes can make tuning a more frequent thing because the air intake will be affected even more by temperature change
tyguy
alright thanks.... i didnt get to try it today but ill try it 2morrow, i was always told it was alot better to have one. but i guess everydody is different...... dajogejr
Honestly, The Boost bottle is going to do you more good over all. It lets the air pressure equalize between the duel Carb's allow it to run smoother. Total 100% BS. The stock crossover tube does that just fine, and many have been running without one for ever and a day.... What Chase meant is the Choke tube, from one carb to the other, yeah...you need it. The only thing a boost bottle is good for is getting in the way and causing your intake boots to crack prematurely 'cause of the weight.... You will not have to tune your carbs more often if you're not running a boost bottle. Intake/Exhaust mods, temp changes and elevation changes can require jetting mods, not a Boost Bottle.... Get some bolts the same size...but make sure they are not "sticking out" into the inlet track. I'm sure someone here has a crossover tube they'd ship you for next to nothing.... Aaron.D
Its verry clear you know nothing. Do you really think Yamaha spent the money to have a tube for nothing. Just like i said it will run but it makes the tuning more sensitive. If you think that crap fine. It just tells me you know verry little about 2-Stoke motors. So whatever i know nothing only have been riding for 10 years and have a track mech work on my bike. By the4 way only have ever blown one top end between bike and ATV's. Sure the tube is nothing but a waste of space. YAa makes tons of sence you moron. Do your self a fovor learn about pressure and temp effect's on two stroke motors. DA Listen TYGUY its clear by the pics and tech info that he is a dragg runner. LIke i said before it will run w/o a boost bottle it just gives the carbs more room to equalize pressure, if you thinks that's bull do the physics. your A.Dretel AMA top 100 XC rider. Look at is POS you want help from that kind of guy who really thinks its just something CO's make for nothing, DAAA DA
tyguy
thanks for the replies, dajogejr was one of the people i was hoping to hear from.............thats what i thought was to put bolts in there....... im tring it tomorrow......who where you talking to aaron.D...........you werent steeming at me where you???????? put quotes to who youwere refering to............. It is also a good place for sand to work its way in to the engine.
Aaron.D
bottom line if you really think bottles are worthless then why will his atv not run w/o one.Thats all that needs to be said. CAll you local store. ask them whats better. Choke tube which is nothing but a rubber tube from one carb to another for ballance of air pressure and flow.or a bppst bottle which give the air more room to expand. Try going to physics class fool.. This guy runs drag shocks that great if all you do is go in a line but for the real riders that nothing but a $$$$ pit. Real riding is called tallent racing GNCC and XC. I have had enough of people who know nothing. IT just miss leads people who really want to ride with skill. Botttle are wirth the coin. Hands down. tyguy
why does it matter if someone runs drag or not.....motors still act the same way, and why do you care if he runs drag shocks,,???? bc that matters of a shit bootle ( i mean boost bottle) come on now.. keep it on the original topic BOOST BOOTLE,,, thanks for the other relies guys Edited November 12, 2006 by tyguy
