robeport
Here is what I currently have: Bored .040 Dune Port V-Force 3 Reeds Cool Head 19cc Domes T-5 Pipes Timing Plate @ +5 Will have Dyna FS With this current set up, what carbs should I be looking at? Would 35PWK's or 34PJ's be too large? Eventually I would like to go with a cub, so I am gradually accumulating all the parts I will need. That being said, I don't want to get carbs that will work well with the cub but run like ass with my current motor. Any suggestions?
sheefreak
The 34, and 35's will work w/your motor and be great for top end but at the expense of throttle response. I would say some 30's would be just about perfect for your setup. But since you are going to be upgrading I think I would go w/the 35's. I ran 39PWK's on my 4mm and actually picked up 3HP switching from 36PWK's. I'd say to stick with your stock carbs for now and buy some larger ones when you get your cub. r/atvshee
or you can just get the carbs bored out in the future
robeport
Would 33 PWK's be a good compromise?
odaen
Would 33 PWK's be a good compromise? get some 30pwk's (28 bored to 30) for your current motor..... when you put your cub together, sell them (take the $100 loss) and buy some bigger carbs
sheefreak
I would say no. As Odaen explained, as I have heard many times that cubs like a big carb. A 35 will work w/the cub, w/a 33 you are really going to be restricting that motor. Either go w/the 35, as it will be pretty good for both, or follow Odaen's suggestion. jbooker82
I ran 34mm PJ's with my mods in my sig. It ran good. I just bought a set of PWK 33mm carbs now. I have put them on yet, but they should do just as good.
Toomey Banshee
I run 33 PWKs on two of my shees. Both are ported. Great carb. When you get the cub just sell the 33's and move on up.
