tires

The real problem comes in when you switch from riding knobs on sand to real sand tires. If you're not careful you'll end up on the ground after the 1st turn. But yeah, dirt tires are fine. The only time that they'll really screw you is when riding sideways on a steep dune. They're fine for uphill and downhill, but have a hard time with that sideways shit.

Sand tires unlimited front tires are truely the best! I dont have them yet but ive tried them on other quads before and they are truly the best. Stock tires SUCK if you are a seriuos duner.

Never ridden in sand before but ive seen alot of people running stock tires in Dunes. If not you can sell them to me  :whistling:

You cant really talk about duning stuff if youve neveer ridden in the sand before. Youvegot to try it! Its so much better because first of all, sand is forgiving, dirt isnt, if you fall in the dirt its going to cost a lot of money to fix your bike but if you fall in the sand the worst you going to get is a broken flag, there are whey more oppertunities to go fast, the sand actually cleans your quad while your out there, no spark arresters, more parties, less rules, and there are usually a lot more people camping with you. Once youre a duner you will never look back!

San Tires Unlimited "razorback" is the best and the lightest. Stock knobbies are fine.

For the Blaster, don't get too aggressive a paddle. It will bog the little engine. You don't want to spend too much money on Blaster Tires, especially for a girlfried. GBC Sand Sahrks would be a good way to go.

And the widest! But I wouldnt waste all of that money intoa blaster. I would say get some gbc dune trakers for the front, and some sand devils for the back. That worked out perfect for me when I used to have a blaster!

I'm with Adrenaline Junky on this one! I know this topic is somewhat closed, but I really want to promote the STU front tires. I have the STU Razorbacks on my 97... They are the best floating sand tire on the market IMO. Here's an old crappy pic of my 97 front...
