Mullet Man
Man yfzcentral.com has a TON of stock stuff, I just joined and sent about 10 pm's. A couple of the a-arms need new balljoints, and I was wondering how much these cost and how hard they are to replace? Are they pressed in like the 'shee ones? i did the same thing LOL PM'd a shitload of people. i had to replace one ball joint on the lower arm, ~$25 from a dealer, $10 too remove old one and press the new one in for me. remove the dustcap off the old ball joint before doing it, keep it on hand incase you rip/tear one. the new ball joint comes with it. i was thinking dont the new raptors have the same front end as the 450 dont they both use the same a arms i could of swore i read something bout that along time ago AFAIK, that is correct. but i havent done much researching to prove it 100% 7 pages, my longest thread on the HQ so far lol check out this blaster, has YFZ front suspension on it too, cool as shit lol Edited December 5, 2006 by Mullet Man

Banshee0028
Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone done a yfz swap from the arms out: Spindles, calipers, and hubs??? I was thinking of doing this and wanted to see if anyone else has attempted this...Specifically, the spindles as I am trying to find out if the banshee tie rod ends fit on a yfz spindle? tmac20031
Im surprised that noone has addressed this but it seems like it sits alot lower. Wont it bottom out on large jumps. I mean its for mx purposes and there are large jumps on alot of tracks. It seems to me that the bottom of the bike would hit the ground on those jumps. Mullet Man
Thanks for the post I did mine yesterday, it took me about an hour, I used some washers as a spacer but I am getting some aluminum spacers made up looks good man. also looks like you have some adjusting to do on the shocks to raise it up a little bit. yours definately sits lower then mine does. also, your tie rods look to be at a different angle as well. what spindles do you have on it? what are all the parts you used? Mullet Man
I was thinking the same thing. It looks like the frame would scrape the ground when landing from large jumps. Care to drop it from about 8ft to flat landing and see for us? i've only had mine up about 5ft. i dont MX or hit triples like you do lol but i havent had too replace any divets yet. i also weigh in at 210-215lbs! my shocks are still factory valving stock! the bike definately sits lower then with YFZ shocks and stock a-arms. and probably only a tad lower then with stock shocks and arms. the top of my gas tank has a very slight, read hardly noticeable upward slope, if that helps you picture it at all. some YFZ long travel shocks in the ~17-18" length would give you all the ride height you need. and you would still come out way ahead as far as money goes (used YFZ LT shocks go for around $600-$750). you are more then welcome too try mine on one of your triples  Edited December 21, 2006 by Mullet Man
