crank bearing

Recommended Posts

hey guys. I just bought an engine off ebay since my tranny was shot in my other one. Well i was checking it out and the one rod seemed a little stiff. I put it together anyways figuring it would be fine. Well i started it up and it started good then there was a pop and something shot out the exhaust and now it wont fire. only the good side will. if the crank bearing seized what damage would be done? will my cylinders be pooched? let me know. Thanks

should've never put your cylinders on that bottom end. you won't know what kind of damage to expect until you pull it apart. I'd almost expect your cylinder walls to be nice and gouged up, and if you toasted a piston, your head is gonna have some pits in it too.
