06BansheeSE Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 I ordered a gas cap and a breather tube and i got it in 4 days. Quote
Bansh88 Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 When I bought my '06 last year, I also ordered about $3k worth of parts. They didnt even send out the order for a WEEK! Parts came trickling in here and there. They never called me ONCE! I had to call them every 3 days to see if anything had come in. The last thing to come in was my Fullbore fronts. They told me "next week" for about 4 weeks. I finally called Fullbore directly to see what was up. BACKORDER! Alba had no idea. They just keep saying "check back". It took over a month to get all my parts, not including the front Fullbores. Mind you, Most of the shit I ordered was comming from less than 100 miles away. Fuck Alba. If it's not in stock, I aint buying from them. Quote

silencethevoice Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 i bought some stuff also from alba and and i recived my parts 3 weeks after i bought them, and im never going to buy stuff at alba again. Went to Alba just recently to get my machine work done... Figured these guys knew their shit, so I asked for some advice on dome size / timing etc for pump gas... After talking with three guys that supposedly "knew banshees" and having them measure my exhaust port height, we finally decided I should go with 21cc domes and no timing advance.. Sounds good, so I get my cylinders back (look pretty nice) and install them. After busting out the compression gauge, I end up with 172psi per side ? Very nice, but not exactly pump gas material! So I call them up and talk to two different guys, one guy is supposedly their "banshee expert".. They both tell me to go ahead and run it that way, that it'll be totally fine on pump gas... WTF? Now, I would never claim to be an expert, but I knew that wasn't right... I just can't believe they would try to tell me it was "fine" and just to go ahead and run it that way.. The shit would have detonated! just goes to show, once again, you can't trust the stealership... Quote

DON'T order anything from alba if you want it in less than a month. Next time you need a RIS part go to RIS Designs directly, They're good guys to deal with and you'll get your shit when they promise it. Quote
Bansh88 Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 i have order alot of stuff from them, , skull grill, chrome things here and there, etc, and they have always been here when they said they were gonna be, and i'm on the fuckin east coast! Thats part of their problem. They're phone orders go directly to the parts counter at the store. A customer will be there trying to get a couple spark plugs and all the parts people are sitting on the phone dealing with some yabos from back east asking about the best pipe setup for their bike. Toybreaker Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 If no other dealers or small shops have it in stock I try Alba Thats why i call and ask if the part is in stock. If so I put it on order willcall. If they have to order it i go to motoworld in el cajon. they call you when stuff comes in. ALBA Doesn't As far as buying a bike there I wouldn't. Tried about 7 months ago and it was like they didnt want my money. So If no one else has it in stock and they do I will go there. Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 I have ordered from alba 3 times. I am up north from them about 5 hours. I always got my parts when they said they were coming. I have had good luck with them. Quote
