ClimbAnyHill
Are the joints from the top & lower a arms supposed to be completely parrallel to each other? Or is my set up ok? Look at my pictures. Top joint is moved inward as well as pushed back, is that ok? Will it cause my suspension any problems? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Hollister_Hitman
Your tires should make an A and should be slanted 88 degrees from the ground. SO if you rtires are set correctly it will look like your pics. I have seen pics of those a-arms on here and yours look the same. The upper joints should also be behind the lowers by about 3-4.5 degrees. Here are some pics http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...67762&st=15 Edited November 3, 2006 by Hollister_Hitman
ClimbAnyHill
I tried calling Gary @ QS but he's on vacation.. I looked at that chromed suspension Banshee on your thread and it doesn't look right. All the Banshee's on Quicksand's gallery have the bend facing fwd vs. rear. I think my setup is good based on my research. I thought more rider's here would be running on these a arms?? Thanks for the help..

The bends on those as compared to the Quicksands are totally different. So your correct, the Quicksand's bend faces forward.

Look at the quick sand ones. black lower that says "quicksand" on it with the chrome upper. It looks the same as yours
Yamahammer
i had a hard time with mine also i still dont think its right to get the right caster i had to roll the rear hiem out like 3/4 of an inch. I put it back equal and have been running it i called gary also and emailed pics but never really got a good enough pic to fix it,so i have just been running them. Its hard to see it in pics i think he needs to come up with some kind of instructions on how to set it up i went on lonestar.com to find out all the degres it is supost to be at.I worked on it for a week couple hours a night to adjust it and then gave up, next arms will not be fully adjustable or the new janssen arms where you flip the lower block on the hiem to change caster. i was lookng at youre pics again mine are set back aswell thats the problem i was having too get the camber right but then the caster would trow it all off. are you using a angle finder to adjust them or eyeball you need one if you dont have one get one at home depoet or so in the tool section 10 bucks and a straight edge. i will get some pics of mine tonight aswell to compare. ClimbAnyHill
Thanks all for the input. Yamahammer, what's the status with yours? Got pix? I think we're doing it right & have doubts because they look different. Check out this pic from Quicksand: http://www.quicksandmotorsports.com/large/12.jpg Loooks like my setup doesn't it? I'm riding tomorrow & I'll see how I like em' including the yfz shock upgrade thing. P.s. I'm not using any tools, just eyeballing it. I took her out to the pavement today & the alignment was pretty good. It didn't pull or steer away when I'd let go of the bars, the bike kept rolling straight.
