okbeast
PM dlnoss on here, he sells coolheads and should be able to tell you around what PSI you'll have with each set of domes and in turn give you an idea of what octane to run. Animalman294
He sells NOSS heads, not cool heads, cool heads are made by Pro Design and don't have as good of coolant flow channels............ :yelrotflmao:
2strokeme
at least 92 octane from the pump what would happen if you went w/ too small of domes. I know compression goes up, but will it hurt the performance. Just wondering, cuz i'm using 19s on a stock motor, seems to be ok. what would happen if you went w/ too small of domes. jbooker82
I run 19cc domes with 91 pump fuel at 2500 ft elevation.
BANSHEEPRO
I run 19cc domes with 91 pump fuel at 2500 ft elevation. PRO DESIGN SAYS ANYTHING UNDER 20CC NEED 100+ OCTANE AND ITS SAFE CHOICE TO DO SO PRE DETONATION IN A 2 STROKE IS A VERY BAD THING HOWEVER 20CC WILL BE JUST FINE WITH 92 OCTANE AS TO THE PERFORMANCE HIGHER COMPRESSION IS HARDER ON YOUR BOTTOM END (OF THE ENGINE) BUT WILL NOT HURT YOUR PERFORMANCE AT ALL YOU WILL GAIN POWER AS LONG AS THE FUEL AND TIMING IS SUFFECINT ENOUGH FOR YOUR INCRESS IN CYLINDER PRESSURE
jbooker82
well according to noss machine's web page 19cc domes at 2000 ft is approx 165 psi. My banshee is also ported so that can lower the compression. I havent ever herd any pining sound.

THERE ARE INSTANCES WHERE YOU DONT HEAR THE PING ITS SO MINIMAL .BUT THE DAMAGE IS STILL TAKING PLACE BUT YOU SHOULD BE OK THE RATIO YOU PREMIX HAS ALOT TO DO WITH IT ALSO THOSE GUYS STILL RUNNING THE OLD 927 CRAP DONT HAVE NEAR THE PRE DET PROBLEMS AS THE GUYS ON 50;1 AMSOIL AND KLOTZ THE THICKER THE OIL THE LESS VOLITAL YOUR FUEL IS
