shee likes when i go down
ive got 22" pure sport realtors running in the direction for dirt not sand. I think traction is what got me. ive got the 13 tooth sprocket and launched in 1st, your saying i should launch in 2nd. What if i ran the stock 14tooth sprocket rather than the 13? What do you think the problem is with me misfiring when i hit 3rd? Could I be running to lean? Should i toss the bigger carbs on?All I wanna do is beat this kid! flatten one of his tires when hes not looking or turn his gas off when hes not looking and youll surely beat him just ride around or a lil bit after you turn his gas off

banshee_ga
if you don't wanna spend much money get the v-force reeds they are way better than the fmfs a 4 degree timing plate and put the 34 pjs back on. Buy you like a pro design intake for the carbs do away with the airbox and run straight k @ n filters, you may also wanna think about getting a aftermarket head. I have this setup right now on my banshee and I ride trails without fouling plugs . As far as you beating a 450r with it I don't know i've never raced one all I know is they are fast straight from the factory. I can tell you this though my bike was stock except for pro-circuit pipes I called alba and ask them what I could do to make it faster on limited money and they helped me come up with the setup and its like riding a different bike and no its not ported yet. 4strokessuck
You should be able to beat those fools with your setup. Score a pair of Razr II's. They have massive grip in all terrain, hands down. Also your stock carbs are fine for your mods. As far as tuning them, I can't help you there. Tom Asay (R.I.P.) of A.C. Performance was THE MAN for tuning Banshees in the South Jersey area. Sucks. Get that Shee fixed up, drop the bomb in second, and flat shift that pig for the win. Good luck. 4strokessuck
Without a doubt, the 450's are definately the hottest quads out. Bone stock, they're bad a$$. I now ride with some younger guys with 450's every weekend cause my Banshee friends would rather ride their girlfriends and pop out kids. Girls are fun to ride, but like the Shee, I wear a helmet. That's why i'm still riding today. :yelrotflmao: I wouldn't go as far as saying the Banshee's day is over. You can't beat the scream and arm ripping power of a Banshee. 4 strokes sound like $hit and are boring to ride. "Wow. You can do a wheelie from a standstill. " Big whoop. 625banshee
I drag raced my friends 06 450R against my 91 Banshee. The place was fairly flat but like damp wet sand. we ran about a 200ft race. Running at sea level at about 50 degrees. His 450R is supposedly stock... visually doesnt seem to be anything done to it. hes weighing in at about 170 -200. My Banshee is a rebuilt motor bored I believe .60 over not sure if its got any port work or an aftermarket crank. I was told the head is shaved, but it doesn't look any different than stock. I've got FMF reeds, stock carbs, with stock carbs i think ive got 260 maybe 270s for main jets, K&N filter in the stock box no lid, FMF Fattys to old style Toomey silencers. I ve got Maxxis Razars up front on .190s and Realators out back on .190s set for running in the dirt. I've also got a 13 tooth sprocket up front. Im weighing about 140-160. First run, I launched in 2nd he got me off the line and came in my lane b/c he pulled wheels. I wasn't sure weather to stay on it or let off so he took that win. Second run, I launched in first and the banshee went right on its ass. Third run, he stalled right at the line. LOL Fourth run, I launched in first and he caught up to me at the end. So a few of my buddies said I wass spinning tires in all gears (no traction), but that my quad wasn't running right and would misfire when i hit third gear. What that all about? His buddy that supposedly has 2 Banshees and knows what hes talikng about siad my quad was smelling funny and I'm running too lean, I'm gonna blow my motor. Although my Quad has ran as is for about 4 years no problem. Well anyway I know my Banshee should take his 450R. I just wanna shut these kids up b/c all they do is bullshit and talk smack. So is it my Banshee isn't running right and my jettings off? Do I have enough motor? Im thinking I just didn't have enough traction in the sand with my tires turned for dirt and im too light for the quads power. Would it be a good idea to put the 34mm PJs that came with the quad back on for power? I tooke them off mainly b/c I ride it everywhere and it would foul plugs in trails. What do I do? I gotta beat this kid its embarassing lol! Thanks guys Probably need to put a bigger front sproket because my buudy has a banshee with just fmf pipes and vforce reeds and he beats piped 450s
