Bandit Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Looking for some opinions on the best all around trail tires. I live in Ohio and ride in wooded areas with hills dirt and mud. Quote
greg_banshee Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 i ride trails too & different other stuff like gravel pits & shit and i run just plain ol Razr's right now, probley going for a set of Razr 2's next time (not sure yet), but i have a buddie that runs the Holeshot HD's & he loves them. i've also been lookin at the new Holeshot GNCC's to cause i tired the I-Razr's & they hooked up aswome for the frist run but after that they already started to wear, probley only took me 1 month to wear them out. Lots of choices out there but i'd say go with Razr 2's they look sweet. Quote
Wertzy Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I've been running the Razr's for a couple months now. I ride in basically the same terrain as you. Mud, dirt, rocks, pavement. Almost everything except for sand. I've had no problems until a couple weeks ago when I popped one. It was my fault though. I was riding in some REALLY rocky areas. The puncture was actually on the inside of the tire. Plug's and rubber cement FTW! Oh, and some slime. That stuff is wicked. The Razr's actually do very well in the mud. No mud tire...but TONS better then my stockers. Quote

gipperz Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I ride on the trails and I put on some Kenda Klaws. They hook up quick on my F.A.S.T 4mil. Just my .02  Quote
mavbike Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I ride on the trails and I put on some Kenda Klaws. They hook up quick on my F.A.S.T 4mil. Just my .02  Kenda Claws up front and Kenda Bear Claws on the back. Good on soft terrain (mud, sand) OK on rocks. The Bear Claws do Not hook-up on dry packed dirt or hard clay. (Then again,,,I don't know if anything other that a TT tire would.) The Bear Claws are heavy,,,but I just trail ride,,,and they do good in the mud. Quote
wood Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 i ride mounatians, creeks, opean feilds, dirt roads, and i run the holeshots hd's all the way around, good strong tire and good traction. Quote
JET 99 Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 next state west of you and love holeshot xcr's. 6 ply good s... ! i have ridden in corn fields and have had no problem with popping them riding right after harvest before they disk the remaining stalk back under. have ridden down by dale hollow lake in tennesse (pall mall) name of town. the mountains out there have bitchin trail systems and no rangers a little to extreme for a shee sometimes!!!!!!!!!!! one of the reasons my motor is at fast. lot of rocks no problem out of the xcrs........... Quote
mod quad 2 Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 i had razrs on the rear of my blaster they were a wicked tire and i have x-drive 6 plys on my shee now real hard tire but alot of spin 2 stroke thing to though Quote
LiftdT4R Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 Hell yeah, ellison is right about the razr2s, they grip pretty fuckin' good. I want to try a pair of the "cut" kenda knarleys though. The only tires I had that didn;t spin everwhere where realtors, so the cut knarleys might be acool, if you do a search there are a few threads about them. Quote
Dinner Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 I'm using Dirt Devils right now, i ride trails, gravel/sand pits, sometimes mud  Been working pretty good  Quote
