t-5 questions

alright guys heres the deal.my dad and i are looking at getting some pipes for this years glamis season.we have stock bikes right now and i WASSS looking at the fmf fatties with the turbine core 2 silencer cuz it has a spark arrestor and i think you have to have one in glamis?(please tell me if im wrong) but then i read up on how everyone looooves the t-5 and it got me thinking..but i wouldnt know what silencer to go with or what.please fill me in.thanks!

With toomey silencers you have 2 options.

 

The toome silencers with the Sparkie's @ $80.00 dollars a pice (requires 2)

 

Or the Hush 2.5 kit with integrated spakr arrestor @ $189.00 (only one required)

 

Or get a set of FMF's with Turbine Core 2 silencers

It keeps stuff like hot glowing carbon from flying out and starting a fire. Some places require you to have them. They are not a performance mod by any means.

In fact they restrict performance, because they are a restriction in the flow through the pipes........... :beer:

I ran into these $20 screens on ebay but I don't see a Forestry Approved sticker for them.

you don't need spark aresstors in glamis. noone has them and if your gunna keep you motor pretty much stock i'd go with the t-6s but if you plan on do some porting and stuff like that then go with t-5's

I spoke with Debbie @ Tommey yesterday, said the same. T6's are only for stock banshees.

Not true!! i've heard of people on here finding builders or shops that port jugs just for t-6s and they come out just as good as port for anything else! you just gotta find the right person to do it.
