We can argue semantics on this all day long. He specifically asked about a STOCK banshee, STOCK raptor and STOCK 450.

 

The banshee in BONE STOCK form is the slowest of the three...I don't care who or where you are.

Now...put a rookie on the faster bikes and a good drag racer on the banshee...it's a different story.

 

Equal riders, at or near same weight, bottom line is out of the three...the shee will finish third.

 

We all know they can be cheaply modded, and are the most cost effective to mod dollar per dollar, HP to HP...but, that's not what this guy asked....

 

I'm not a HUGE fan of 4 strokes, but I will give them their respect where they are due.

They are lighter, more powerful and better suspended out of the box than a 20 year old designed banshee...period.

 

I will own a 4 stroke one day, probably in the next year...but, for trails, playing around...riding trips, etc.

I've got a drag/dune bike that would cost me TRIPLE to match if I tried to make a 4 stroke drag quad...

Good point, excpet for the last part :yelrotflmao: Come on dude, you gotta keep it in the family, you can build one hell of a trail shee for a lot less $$$ then a 4 stroke, and IMHO it will be just as nasty.

You're smoking dope, and/or obviously haven't ridden a box stock raptor or 400EX. Period.

No no...what I meant is it would take 3 times the money to make a 4 stroke drag quad as fast as my banshee...

 

Yeah, a trail shee is cool, but...reliability and electric start go a long way, as does pulling up to a gas pump at the end of a long loop and just putting fuel in the tank (no premix) has its advantages....

Those are the only things I miss about my raptor too. I carry pre-mix in my pack, and a small 2.5 gal. tank in my 6 pack rack. I can fill up in the same time it takes my dad to fill his Polaris, and only about a minute longer then it takes my buddy to fill his EX.

 

Reliability??? My shee gives me almost no problems. If Yamaha added fuel injection to the YFZ I'd be damn tempted to switch though.

Where did I say a stock banshee wouldn't beat a 400EX?

 

I said bone stock, out of the box, it would get beat by a new 450 YFZ or box stock raptor....

 

Maybe you should take a break from your drag racing career (on a stock bike) and learn to read, comprehend and understand....

My 10 mil is in mid build stages. Yet to be run...going bigger from a 4 mil to a 10 mil.

 

I run 300ft sand drags in Clarksville, MI. I'll be running a stock cut frame and alky, and I'm 245lbs...so by no means a lightweight. Build a similar bike, show me times slips, and I'll show you mine.

I'd ask you to drive to MI to race, but...since you can barely read, write and/or use punctuation or spell, I think a map would be pointless for you.

 

Start with hooked on phonics...and gradually (that's a big word that means slowly) work your way up to drag racing for dummies.

 

I don't know it all, far from it. But, I stand by my previous statement. A box stock banshee is the slowest of the three bikes in question. Raptor, YFZ and Banshee. Again....where did this 400EX fit into the equation? Oh...just you babbling, again.
