Cixelsyd
New to the forum, you guys have a lot of great information thanks! Last year I had work done to my 04 shee and have been running VP fuel. I just purchased today some VP U2 , drained old, mixed and filled tank. Has anyone used this fuel? I noticed on the container is stays not to store fuel in Vehicle. Not familiar to race fuel that much, does this include between weekends as well? How long can you store the gas in the vehicle between vehicle usage? And being that it is oxygenated gas, once opened and mixed in 5 gal can how long can you store it? Sorry for all the Q

Cixelsyd
Thank you, I was wondering about the jetting, It apeard to be running a little lean and falling a bit on the top end. So I take it tha the guy was not Bs'n when he said I would get more power out of the U2 over the VP 108 octain? C. jbooker82
The reason why it says not to store U2 in the vehicle is because it is oxygenated, not because it is a race fuel. The high amounts of oxygen in the fuel cause Corrosion to the aluminum carbs. It will really screw them up.

Cixelsyd
U2 Designed for stock and modified 2-stroke applications. Makes up to 6% more power than pump gas and any basic nonoxygenated racing fuel. Passes fuel rules for AMA amateur racing, and is also perfect for club level racing, CCS, WERA and AFM. Makes engines faster and more responsive without harming the carburetor, O-rings or gaskets. For optimum horsepower and performance, do not store this fuel in vehicle
dawarriorman
I thought VP was 110............. They've got around 50 different fuels. VP 110 is 110 octane R+M/2.
noslo98
I used to run U4 in my YZ450F and it was awesome stuff but was a litttle odd on the tuning side, it leans the bike out but when you are jetted for it it is awesome stuff. I did have some problems leaving it stored in the bike though once, it ended up melting the rubber oring on my slide and made the bike run like crap and couldnt figure it out for a while. When it first came out they didnt tell you not to leave it in the bike.I have not tried U2 yet because the VP dealers are getting fewer and fewer since they raised there prices this year. My supplier switched from VP to Sunoco so i did as well.
