So even if you get a flat the tire still maintains it's shape and keeps rolling. I think it was the history channel where they said the pres rolls on those. That is one of the run flat strategies that is out there. The military currently use that type of tire with some additional equipment inside the tires for their up-armored vehicles. racer Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 the sidewall on a BFG project is so stiff that coupled with beadlocks you can run them down the road with 0 psi and be fairly safe. but they are kevlar walls and ~$475 each.
