adrenaline junky
i am building a new fame for my banshee that is going to allow my a-arms to cross over. my goal is to get the most travel as possible. what would be the best shock for this? racer
the longest on you can get. sundahl frame with x-over arms uses a custom Works shocks. dont know what they cost to make, but they allow 16" of travel. rx7500hpt2 is using basic elka 19"ers and his setup cycles 17", but both use custom spindles. adrenaline junky
well thats where i got the whole idea and thats what ive been thinking about but im not sure because ive heard some good things about elkas too the only reason i like works shocks better is that first of all there cheaper and better and second, works shocks are more for my purpose i am also building a custom spindle
RNBRAD
How bout some Kings!
dawarriorman
Id heard King doesn't do that great of a job on the ATV shocks valving. Any of the shock companies out there would build you a custom shock, but it probably won't be cheap, or quick. Give Elka, TCS, Axis, PEP a call and tell them what you're doing, and have them give you a rough estimate.
rx7500hpt2
Design everything before you get shocks. You will need to send the shock builder a drawing showing the geometry of your suspension design in order for them to make the correct shock for your application. Elka faxed me a paper with a basic front suspension diagram. You just fill in the blanks for the needed measurements and fax it back.
