Clutch Break in

Recommended Posts

I just ordered my clutch, and im gunna be installing it tomorrow when i get out of work, is there a break in on these or do i just go to town and beat the piss out of it?

Im gunna get outta work and start soaking it in oil, then rip apart the old stuff, and then go and install the new clutch. any advice on adjustment or install? (to make it easier?)

not really a break in on them just dont go balls out until you ride it and make sure its adjusted right and shifting through all gears..

Just make sure you line up the clutch arm pointer with the mark on top of the case so there is some free play with the clutch rod. You adjust this with the nut in the center of the clutch hub. The clutch lever feels better to me when the freeplay with the rod is taken out but I know better because I asked a mechanic before doing mine and he showed me a melted clutch rod that can be the result.

As far as break in, just ride like normal.
