Polish Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 (edited) I recently had a run in with a Sherrif out at Glamis about Spark arrestors.........It sux but beleive me guys THEY ARE ENFORCING BIG TIME!!!!!!!............He basicly said not to ride or pay the steep fine!........I had searched and searched for some type of sparky. What I found was either to bulky or to pricy$$$. I had called Alba on Sunday.........and they sell a do-it-your-self sparky.........w/ a forrestry sticker to put on..............for all you that doubt Alba.......I have one question for you.......do you think Alba would put there business on the line with Laws and Regulations to put out something that was BS?.........I dont think so!!!...anyways I could of made this myself.....But I would not have the forrestry sticker....and that is the most important!!! kubiac3 Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 I just took my pro circuit silencers apart, put about 4 electrical staples inside wrapped the ends around the baffle, now when they test with there little stick to see, it hits em and they think there spark arrestors. What the hell am I going to catch on fire? Maybe If I pour gasoline on a bush and sit and rev my tank it might actualy ignite the bush eventualy? I doubt it... I got the same pipes.........and it doesnt seem to restrict any .........(it still idles the same)...........but then again I have not tested it!.......the guy at Alba said it doesnt make a difference at all........thats what they wanted to do is make something simple...w/less restrictions.......... I laminated my Receipt from Alba to show proof that they were purchased and not home made.........that way I can carry it with me along with my regristration....... Oh yea guys the sherrifs are also inforcing that YOU MUST CARRY YOUR REGISTRATION WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES :shoothead: ....along with your visible sticker......some more $hit to chase us away from the dunes I appreciate that bansh-eman let me know what it takes i live in temecula and can shoot down to pick some up we are going to fix his pipes........we will post pics later in the week to show how it can be done........we both have a few ideas Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I almost been busted once for riding double and the ranger still had to get in his truck so I just took off lol.... I have sceen them check stickers and VIN's on entering only once or twice as well. A ranger came up to me because he saw the Banshee from far away. He knew his stuff & a screen rig & stick poking would not of saved me.. You might get away from the dumb rangers but not from educated ones! I'm not taking the risk. I'm rollin' with Polish on this one and showin my compliance to the ranger. Got a link for us? :beer: they dont sell them on the Alba website..........just call and place an order.........MAKE SURE THEY INCLUDE THE STICKERS...........the guy had to go in the back of the wharehouse to get the stickers........If I didnt ask for them.........he would of prolly forgot............they make them there at Alba so they dont come in a special package...........how you see them in the pics is how they came........no packaging!!.........$15.99 each Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
