Hollister_Hitman
I am installing the a 35mm single carb from trinity racing but I can't get the carb to fit into the airbox adapter. The hole in the carb is like the same size as the adapter. The adapter has an o-ring in it so I don't think I am supposed to use a boot. i didn't recieve a boot either. Anyone have this problem. Maybe my airbox adapter is for a different size carb? There was no mm size # on the packaging of the adapter.
Flip73
When I put mine on it was pretty tight, at first I though it wasn't going to fit. Is it way off or really close - like close enough to work it on without damage?
Hollister_Hitman
When I put mine on it was pretty tight, at first I though it wasn't going to fit. Is it way off or really close - like close enough to work it on without damage? It looks close but neither hole has any flex. I am also going to call trinity to try to get some ideas, but any help here is well appreciated
Flip73
ya know...now that I think about it more - I might have persuaded mine a little. I believe there were casting marks (or something or other) on either the carb or adapter - really small, but enough to cause it to bind and not fit together. I either filed it or wet sanded - but a VERY small amount - don't really remove any material, just clean up the edge. Also watch for any microscopic metal filings, probably don't want them in your carb.

I got out the dremmel and it worked fine.
