dajogejr
Temps you ride in? Elevation you ride at? Does it still have the TORS on it? I'd bet one of four things... TORS is screwed up. Choke tube fell off or is not in place Carb Slides are in backwards Carb float bowls are switched.....

dajogejr
Remove them without spending money? No. Disconnect them electronically so they don't function? Yes. Do a TORS Removal search by chase@miamiatv.com He already has a thread with pictures. I think you're fat on your main jet...but, check what I've recommended....then, if a plug chop still shows rich/lean, adjust your main accordingly. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html
nameehsnab
Carb float bowls are switched How do you know which is which?
dajogejr
Stock carbs, the left carb has a choke on it. That same float bowl has a tube leading up it to feed fuel to the right carb via the "Fuel enrichening circuit".... The right carb bowl doesn't have the tube in it. Aftermarket carbs are different, they both have that tube but for overflow purposes....
nameehsnab
Thanks! This last weekend I was down at little sahara OK and I was having probs with the shee starting. I just ported the cylinders myself(race logic template) and cleaned and rebuilt the carbs. I noticed that the carb bowls were not the same. Every morning the bike would not want to start. once you got the bike started it ran fine. wile riding you would have back fire every so often. I will look into the carbs now.
