houseclearer
I mean your main jets,do you know what size jets you put in your carbs? The banshee comes stock with a size of 200 jets, we bought a jet kit kit from the 4-wheller shop and it came with 240's. 280's, and 340's, we thought that it would be ok to go with the 280's, we also eye balled the sync on the carbs when we put it back together, then like i said earlier we put the bigger breather hose on, it ran like a striped ass ape at first, we also put the air screws on the carbs at 1.5 out, but we took it out yesterday and we fowled like 12 plugs all day, it was pissing me off because it would run great for about 15 mintues then it would bog down and fowl plugs, so if you got the answer let me know, because we are breaking it down tommorow, to try to tune it up right, we also set the needles at 4 slots down, i do not know the elevation in Tennessee and kentucky because that is where i ride, so maybe that might be it as well Edited October 8, 2006 by houseclearer
Bill
Id put the e-clip on the needle up A notch to the center position, are you using ngk br8es plugs? If so are you setting the plug gap at .28.If that dont work go to A 260 or 270 main, with the lid on 280 is probly A little rich.Cheak your float hight too, with the carb sitting upside down on A bench from the gasket surface to the top of the float it should be 22mm.Hope that helps. dajogejr
Put the stock jets back in....that snorkel doesn't do squat.... You basically did nothing to your engine other than .020 over, which...does not require a rejet. Do yourself a favor, remove that snorkel, it'll breath a little better, and put 220 mains in. By putting a twist throttle on, you had to remove the TORS system. Did you drill and tap your carbs and install the idle screws? I've yet to see a twist throttle kit that doesn't remove the TORS adjusters... **EDIT** Ok, I just saw your other post where you listed ALL of your mods, and the whole story....skip this thread.
