370ccblack&white
I have a 94 banshee the motor was rebuilt a year ago. It is now a true 370cc. Other than than the big bore it is stock. I want a little more power, I have a bottle boost (not installed) and I'm going to buy a K&N high flow filter. I want to know the exact jet size I need. I just need 2 main jets right? But what size, the carbs are stock from what I know, I need to readjust the floats because it won't idle well and leaks a little gas out of the bottom card lines. any info will help. jbooker82
I wouldnt put the boost bottle on because they have been known to cause your intake boots to crack.

dajogejr
Ditch the boost bottle. No one can tell you the "exact" jetting you need...only get you close. You need to find out what size jets are in there now, fix your float level or needle and seat leak...and start reading here: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23546 http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html If it's a 370, that means it's .080 over...that's not considerd a "big bore" kit.... When you start resleeving the cylinders to accept bigger pistons than the normal sizes (past 66.50 mm or .100) then it's considered a big bore.... djackbanshee
boost bottle i dont think just adding a k&n filter is going to change the jetting that much Do you have pipes on your bike ? 370ccblack&white
Every thing is stock on the quad but I am puting the boost on and the k+n. The jets are the stock size. I talked to one guy that put a boost bottle k+n and jetted it and noticed a big difference. More air and correct jets should make it run better, but it will never run like an american made quad. ::
Banshee4Drag
Few things here. 370 is not a big bore. 2) fill the boost bottle with sand and use it as a paper weight, If they worked at all you would seem them on drag bikes and duners but instead you see crossover tubes R new intakes with no crossover tube at all..More air always means more dirt. and just adding air, and upping a jet size will not make a huge difference, And i seemded to have forgot whats the American Quad? a Gas Gas? there motors and moveing parts are made in china and and put toghter in USA... But If any USA shop would make a Twin cyd. screaming bike that only thing holding it from growing wings and flyin is the wallet in the pocket i will buy that thing!!!! You came here asking for advice...you've pretty much gotten the same adivce, and you choose to ignore it. You will barely notice a difference from a K&N filter, if at all. You will notice it is easier to clean, however....that's it. Go ahead and learn the hard way.... ::

Hilarious
, but it will never run like an american made quad. :: Wtf are you saying here? I try to buy American when I can, but I just havent seen an American quad that has an aftermarket following and can hang with a banshee. Try this..... Install 240 main jets with K&N, lid on and no snorkel. air screws 1.5 to 2 turns out, needles in stock position.
dajogejr
I talked to one guy that put a boost bottle k+n and jetted it and noticed a big difference. Dave....after he made this statement, contradictory to what everyone here is trying to tell him, we're already wasting our breath... A boost bottle will do nothing. A K&N filter might net you 1/2 a HP. If anyone here can feel a 1/2 HP seat of the pants....you're the man....

I was just in a helping mood today. Lol I sure as hell couldnt feel any difference when i had just a K&N. :yelrotflmao: Me and Jeff was talkin bout you yesterday. He's got the 2 of us mixed up. Lol Let me know if you get some parts for a honda rancher.

If I could afford a polaris with the new ktm 520 I would buy it, but banshees go so cheap where I am I had little choice, but I can say my banshee is faster than an 03 Raptor with a pipe and some mods. But I do like the torque and traction, It is'nt that easy to ride a wheelie on an stock banshee unless your in good conditions or black top. I think I may have found out why my banshee idles like Sh*t. One of the aluminum card adjusters has a hole a little smaller than a dime wore into it from a hose clamp. what is the best mod for a stock banshee to get more horsepower for Under $250? My stock air filter looks good so I am going to leave it.

Ehhh, I'd still take a well setup banshee for trails over the KTM/Polaris, too big, IRS sucks, and was never a big fan of 4 strokes. Best mod for under 250 is your trying to improve handling........ some good rear tires. You'll notice a world of difference especially if your runnin' stockers. Razr2s are nice, they hook up a lot better for trails, I was running bandits, I'll probably go with Kenda Knarleys next, and cut some nobs out. Don't knock the banshee though, they hold their own in every terrain, they are easy and cheap(compared to others) to setup. I've ridden almost everything under the sun, and I wouldnt take anything else, granted it is mostly prefernce. Ohh yeah, and the boost bottle has helped me win many a races. Best bang for the buck out there, most people just don't know how to use it. I'll let you in on the secret.... When someone is about to pass you, rip it out of the intake boots, and chuck it at them, aim for upper torso, and you'll be sure to win.
