DaFish
I am a musician and have been playing my whole life. It's really hard for me to pick favorite bands. I'll throw out a few bands I like from a few different genre's in no order. Rock: Led Zep The doors The Beatles Bad Company Rolling stones George Thorogood and the destroyers ac/dc Creedence clearwater revival Red hot chilli peppers Joe Walsh Hardcore: Gorilla biscuits 10 yard fight madball hatebreed sworn enemy death threat Minor Threat Suicidal tendencies earth crisis converge Metal: Slayer Iron Maiden Iced earth Old Metallica Venom Megadeth Dio Destruction kreator bathory Death metal: Cannibal corpse Suffocation Devourment Disgorge Cephalic carnage Sexcrement Goreality porphyria all shall perish decapitated Black Metal: Dimmu Borgir Borknagar Bal Sagoth Emperor Mayhem Old Mans Child blind gaurdian dark funeral celtic froat gorgoroth Don't forget: Behemoth Darkthron Burzum Bleeding thorugh just a few off the top of my head. But i like all those that you listed. My friend played a show with all shall perish, it was a sick show.
Lee
I'm going to have to jump in on this one. Top 10's are the hardest decisions for me, but here goes, starting from 10 to 1, (1 being fav of course): 10. The Derek Trucks Band 9. The White Stripes 8. My Chemical Romance 7. Sublime 6. Rage Against the Machine 5. Tie: Soundgarden/Chris Cornell/Audioslave 4. Dave Matthews 3. Tie: Tool/A Perfect Circle 2. Incubus 1. Pearl Jam And some runner-ups that almost did, but didn't make it: Anberlin, Pantera, Evanescence, Phish/Trey, Strangefolk, The Toasters, Breaking Benjamin, G. Love & Special Sauce, The Used, and way too many more. I really can't pick all-time top 10... I'd have to have a top 10 for each genre of music... I listen to deep tracks from a wide range of artists..

Joshtruction
Don't forget: Behemoth Darkthron Burzum Bleeding thorugh just a few off the top of my head. But i like all those that you listed. My friend played a show with all shall perish, it was a sick show. sweet. I am in pretty good with the guys in all shall perish. My band and thier band were both on the same label for quite some time. Good guys right there. I also played with behemoth a few times too. I can not beleive I forgot to ad them to my list. It's just so hard not to cut out bands you like with the choice of only 10. I chose 50 bands and still was cutting favorites. but I do dislike bleeding through

Im gonna have to disagree with you hard on number 5 though/ Soundgarden kicks audioslaves ass man just vocals alone Cornel had such a broader range in soundgarden. Room 1000 years wide slaves/bulldozers OUTSHINED!!!! And Sublime would definatly be in my top 20 great band rite there.
banshee04le
I like all kinds of music but I won't try to list my top 10 because it's not doable. Anyone who has never heard Chris Whitley though (God rest his soul) should check him out. He was an amazing musician and song writer who never got the recognition he deserved imo.
