dajogejr
On the Can-Am, that is hauling butt on what is basically a utility quad. Very nice! On the raptor, I also had seen the article... and yeah, the rocket motor is the only reason it got to that speed. On the rotax, its mated to the Banshee cases, so I've got the six speed tranny. Then you might be better off with an RZ gear set, since it was at least desinged for a street bike, and I believe it's geared higher... However, I can't tell you if it's a direct drop in, plenty of knowledgeable RZ converts here that could probably answer that....
rocketboy
i hate to see people repeat the bullshit hp claims of this new canam ,theres no fuckin way its making a true 80rwhp ,i bet if you threw a stocker up on the dyno it wouldnt even hit 60 rwhp ,cvts rob horsepower ,so does a shaft drive ..so does 600 pounds dry weight to lug around ...then add in its a 4 poke :confused:reminds me of when the vforce 700 came out and it was hailed as the fastest production atv to ever hit the market and most belived that claim til lyou see the neighbor boy on his old 400ex blow by one Edited October 2, 2006 by rocketboy
BlackBeast
Didn't even think of using RZ gears... I have to replace a couple of my gears anyway due to wear, this would be the perfect time to do that. Makes sense since this is basically my "street bike" now. I'll have to look in to the swap a bit more, thanks for the heads up.
FireHead
You can show up at Bonneville or El Mirage, go through tech and run for time only any time the SCTA is out there. You have to be a member of a club to run for a record.
