Snopczynski
This is what is done to my bike, and it makes a ton of torque and mid power. Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe with ultra quiet silencer. Dynoport Port job.(yes dynoport does port work for the 2 into 1 pipe). 2 into 1 trinity intake with 35mm pwk and K&N pod filter (you may want to run an airbox though) Stock reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds. Flywheel lightened. (rs heavier magnet flywheel). Cascade Heavy duty clutch kit. +4 timing advanced. Pro design head with 20cc domes on 92 octane pump gas (155 psi comp). 13/46 gearing. Wiseco Pro lite pistons. Its a real strong running bike, amazes a lot of people, and its easy to keep on the pipe at slow speeds.

Snopczynski
yes it does, you guys have seen the down in a hole video haven't you? That was before the heavy duty clutch and the port job too.
99bansheeAdam
I love this thread. I am yet another Notheasterner who rides this kind of trails. I am from the Tug hill region in upstate Ny. This time of year there is zero riding as snowmobiles rule the roost till April. I have a old railroad bed where we can open them up and I don't have any 4-pokes near me. On the tighter trails I do fine but I'm beat up at the end. I have the 26 bored to 28 carbs with a trinity head 19cc domes and I have to run 100 oct. But I haven't heard anyone mention rad valves or power valves. I have Boyeson rad valves and 4-stroke guys can't believe the bottom end my bike has, lot less "on the pipe feel". I know the extra compression helps too. I agree that suspension is what hold a Banshee back. I can ride a much less powerfull 4 stroke though the woods just as fast as my banshee. But theres somthing about these beasts that will never allow me to change. I hate the sound and feel of 4-strokes.

LiftdT4R
I love this thread. I am yet another Notheasterner who rides this kind of trails. I am from the Tug hill region in upstate Ny. Nice! Ive wanted to get up there for a long time, I had some buddy's head up a few years back, and they raved about it. I run Boyesen Rad Valves on my bike too, awesome reeds, they don't really add extra power, they do seem to change the curve though, I like them better then the V-Forces for trails. It's awesome to see a lot of guys still runnign trail shees. Ive ridden eveything under the sun, and I still think, that while a banshee may not be the fastest through the trails, it is hands down, the most fun bike to ride. I also have no problem keeping up with any of my buddies on 450s, 660s, or 700s. A Banshee can also be bought and built for thousands less then other newer bikes. A lot of people that spent "big bucks" on newer bikes try to knock them a lot for their age, suspension geo, etc. But I guarantee most of them never rode one. Cool...look me up If you ever get up here. theres a trail club in Altmar that has all kinds of different types of terrain. Everything is ridden up here from Banshee's to 4x4's. A lot of guys have 1000's more in there bike than I do, but I couldn't care less. My banshee is flat out fun on the trails.
Washburn
Yeah I love my Banshee on the trails and the only 2 stroke guys left have 250rs. The few people with Banshees only take them out seldom or have them built up for flat drags. Its like everybody and their Mother switched to 450s from their 250rs or 250xs or beefed up 400exs. I have no problem smoking novic riders on their 480 national bikes they spent their college funds Mommy and Daddy saved up for them on trails they ride every day and Im just getting to know them, and while Im not at a pro level on my Shee yet I can hang with them guys no problem now that I have great suspension. My mods sure do help though. I just paid a member on this board for PT Mids Ill be getting them in about a week. I cant wait. Im going down a tooth on front with the PTs Noss Head 20cc domes timing plate bumped +4 (Next race season Im getting 18cc custom cut stroker domes and bumping the timing +7 then Im getting my 4mil crank and a low/mid port job and a beefed up clutch) VF3s I never tried the Rad Valves but I really like my VF3s Trinity 2:1 intake and a single 35PWK With airbox adaptor plate and Modified lid All of my bolt on mods help bring out the beast in the trails and its so much more fun than any dull 4 poke. Plus once I get all of my handeling and motor mods Im gonna be leaving some serious pros in the dust. I spend about 2 hours when I go out myself all on cornering tecniques and spending alot of time in tight rutted rocky stuff getting faster each time. I have my holeshot practice down to a tee. banshee_boy09
I believe the stock head is 22cc, someone correct me if I'm wrong. As far as using pump gas, you should be fine with 21cc heads, +4 timing. You should compression test it just to be sure, if you search around you will find the compression limit for pump gas, I can't remember it off the top of my head. Stock is 125PSI, I think you can go up to 170 or so with pump gas, I don't remember though. I think your right, im pretty sure that the stock head is 22cc, I went through this when I got my cool head. Later
Washburn
stock is 23.5ccs
broke
All I can tell you is that I spent five years trying to build a trail Banshee. I tried just about every part mentioned above. In the end I ended up with a 250r geometry RZ motored bike. I will say I am just as fast as any 450 in the woods and rip them up in the straights. A better rider could probably really push this thing to be insanely fast, the only limit to the bike right now is the pilot.

broke
Thanks. I don't even like to think about how much time, money and stressful nights I have into this thing. I hate to see it come apart, but I need to make some room in my garage.
