silencethevoice
Hello. I am looking to get one of these 2 into 1 kits, and was wondering if you guys could advise me of a good starting point for jetting one of these? My bike is almost stock, I've got an adjustable timing plate set at +4, V-Force 3 Reeds, FMF pipes/silencers, and a K&N w/open air box. I do most my riding in Glamis (close to sea level)... Just looking for a good starting point to work from on this thing... At 8 bucks a jet (carbparts.com) it could be pricey if I was just shooting in the dark! anyone have a cheaper source for these jets? Any help is appreciated.. Edit: I ended up getting the 33PWK instead... Edited September 28, 2006 by silencethevoice
endofitall9
start with a 150 main and a 40-45 pilot that should set you pretty close. Also the jets out of a cr250 will work also if you have any friends with 1 that has extra jets....

Would you recommend the same jetting for that also?
endofitall9
the 33 mm is not as big, I havn't personally ran one but I'd say the main is going to need to be bigger along with the pilot..goodluck Josh
Bansh88
Both my banshees have the 35mm CV. I bolted them right on without touching the jetting. Both bikes have pipes (SST, T5) and V Force (2, 3). That's it. Bikes run great at Glamis. Oh ya. Get the CV WITHOUT the airbox.

(just spent 100 bucks on the K&N kit..) Guess I will have to make do! Thanks for the help guys, I'll let you know how it goes!
easyrider470
I just bought the CV setup and i bought the airbox adapter also.....It's really easy to trip the lip on the airbox and ge tthe adapter plate to line up just right....i had the K+N t into one setup without an airbox before.....so i didn't see just having that setup laying around so i went with the airbox adapter....it's going to flow just as good if you cut away your airbox....all you need is the front part to support it and the billet filter adapter.....cut the rest off round the edges and it'll look just as good as a pod filter......and you won't loose it cause your clamp worked loose either.....haha see those all the time in the dunes.....the loan pod filter lost while duning the unsuspecting rider never even knows till he gets back to camp!!!! It's always been my understanding the single carb setup needs to be quite a bit richer as compared to the twin counterparts... Actually, Jeff from FAST told me to go way richer on the main (178 or so if I remember) way back when I was contemplating a 1 into 2.... I run a 52 pilot and a 205 main in my woods port setup.
sredish
stock porting on a Trinity CV kit needs an EEK needle to get the ideal transition to the main jet, otherwise you'll be running too rich of a main jet to compensate. get the EEK needle and go down on the main a couple sizes and it'll have a hellacious midrange and top end.
