dajogejr
how level will 13.5in. eye to eye marvin shaws fit on a shee anyone got pics of theirs that have 13.5? I'm due for new pics on my ride. As you know, I've got 13 3/4 on the rear, and 13 1/4 on the front....and love it! It's nice out today for once....and I just cleaned her up a bit. Will post some pics up for you later...and you can decide how much that 1/4 in or so will make a difference...

Big Blue
Take the shock off set the bike to the hight you want it at and measure how long you will need.
wesw
i was told you dont want to run a link swinger as a no link with a shaw, something about the angle of the shock is too much or something. if your doing that i think 12, 12.5 would be about right with a lot of psi. i was trying to do this and was told i needed this setup, well its too long and not enought psi. let me know what you come up with . dajogejr
Is it a swingarm designed to be a no link? If so...just get a shaw for it. If not, get the linkage and get the shaw for that. What wes means is you don't want to put a link style swingarm and connect the shock right to the arm without the linkage...(is that what you meant, wes?).... You could probably use a 6 or 8 over arm for that bike...and link or linkless is up to you, just be sure to get the right marvin for it. That is correct, trust me, I tried it for shits and giggles on mine and it felt horrible. As soon as I launched the bike the back end went straight down. I took it off the next day and went back to my strut. If you're going to run a marvin shaw back there, definitely get one to fit with the linkage unless your swingarm is setup for a no link, I totally agree with wes and dajogejr
Big Blue
Here is mine with a NO link swingarm.
wesw
now my ? if you get a shaw like 12 /12.5 with like 1300psi to ran as a no link but the swinger is a reg setup, do you think it will work. ive read about the angle of the shock but would it work ok. i know i got a shaw 14 long i told them i wanted it setup to go as a no link. they didnt listen or have a clue. its way too long, i didnt measure it at the time the swinger so i couldnt give a better measurement. i think it will work in the dog bone. but i was t rying to make it easier for longer swingers. bolt on and go type of stuff. dajogejr
1300PSI?? That would nicely make you a nice new asshole if it let go... On my setup, might as well throw that in there, with linkage I have 600PSI, and it's a stiffy.... I'd be nervous running 1300 PSI on anything but totally smooth pavement....
