bansheePQ Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 i run these pipe but i do not heard lot of thing about in the forum.......I really like the way it perform......give me your opinion about the SST's! Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I run them too. They seem to do good on my banshee. It is the only set of pipes that I have owned. I need to have a sparkarrested silencer and FMF and PC are the only ones that really make one. Toomey has there hush kit or the sparky but 80 bucks a pice on top of every thing. They should just come with it. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 On my three shees I have CPI's on a ported 94, T-5's on a stock 99 and SST's on a ported 02. THe SST's are my least favorite of the three. Not a bad pipe, I just like the way the T-5's and CPI's perform and sound better. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I had SSTs on my 2002, and they were decnt. FMFs are usally trail pipes, and the SSTs hit a little later in the powerband which I wasn't crazy about. I like the Gnarleys beter for trails, they hit nice and low, the SSTs arent bad though, I think FMF tried to gear them towards more open trails. Quote
black sunshine Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Only problem I have wit em is the right side fits tight against the water pump outlet, havent had a burst hose or overheated yet cuz of it. It is so close to the pump/hose connection that I cannot gain any clearance without kinking the hose. Anyone else??? Other than that I cant bitch but I have nothing else to compare them to. My shee was stock and I bought SST's cause a buddy had them on his CR250 and said he loved it. This was pre-BansheeHQ on my part; now I would get a different pipe. Quote

The hose is "supposed" to be routed on the other side of the frame (away from the pipes) Quote
nomad Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I debated between the SST's and the Gnarly's. I went with the latter because all I do is tight trail type riding. I also have the quiet pipes so I won't get thrown outta the state parks, or piss my neighbors off will riding down the street to access the swamps. I have no complaints. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 When I was stock I stayed like 1 bike away from a 94 banshee with only fmf knarlys. Then I raced a bike with t5s nd I got Destroyed.I have CPIs nd love them. Quote
