4 mil questions

If you get a 4mm 110mm rod crank, all you HAVE to buy is a 2mm spacer plate and some top end gaskets. The 4mm 115mm rod crank, all you HAVE to buy is the spacer plate and some 795 pistons.

But you'd see better gains out of just porting your cylinders and sticking with your stock stroke crank probably.

However, if you buy the 4mm 115mm rod crank, and get your cylinders ported for the longer stroke, you will not believe the difference in HP between a piped banshee and your new one. It is night and day with more power everywhere. My dune port 4mm motor put out over 76HP on pump gas and stock carbs with CPI's. I sold the cylinders to a kid on here, and he's just as happy with them as I was. Click the link in my sig, and give Cameron a call. He's the best guy I've ever dealt with.

thank you for your answer, i am going to buy the 4mm 110mm crank, but i have a couple questions about the spacer plate? what does it do, and what will happen if i try running it without one?

i am going to run a stock head that has been shaved. Instead of a spacer plate, am i able to put a couple extra head and base gaskets on?

If you don't want to run the stroker plate, you will have to get the head cut. You may be able to get thicker base gaskets, but I'm not sure on those. 2mm is quite a bit of a difference in stroke, to try to make up with gaskets. Just my .02. PM Jeff at FAST, he goes by Fastoys on here.

if you are gonna run a 4mill crank, you should run the 115 rod cause it puts less side load on the piston with the corrected rod angle. also do it right and have a set of domes cut for the added stroke. stacking gaskets and or spacer plates are just one more place for air leaks!! there are some builders out there that can cut your stock head for the stroker also.

ok, so my buddy is selling almost a hole motor, it is missing a couple things such as a couple gears for the tranny and a clutch as well, but i got all the good parts it needs, he says it has jetski pistons and they worked without a spacerplate, so i am not sure, i will ask a couple more questions to try and figur it out
