v force 3 intakes vs boyseen reeds

I have a set of boyseen reeds in my banshee and was thinking about buying a set of v force 3 intakes. Has anyone tried both, if so, would it be worth $200 for the v force setup or should I stay with what I got? If its not going to make a significant difference, I'll just spend my money on something else. Also, do intake spacers make a difference?

Thanks,

Joe

apples & oranges my friend, the V force has it's own cage design.

I personally, intead of spending the 250$, spent 50$ on a set of TDR reeds and moded my cages, that makes a huge differance over stock! and leaves me with cash for other mods.

I think if you look around most of the fastest riders/builders etc. across the US are running V Force reeds, NOT Boysen and TDR.

I ran Boyesen reeds and thought they made a difference. But when I switched to VF3's it was a whole new world! Def worth the $200, well, I should ask what other mods you have. If you've got a stock bike and you throw a set of VF3's at it, you probably won't be very happy. But, combined with some other mods, pipes, filter etc. you won't be disappointed. Not sure how much dyno difference they make, but the throttle response is def improved.

I bought a set of boyseen Rad valves and though that they made some difference over stock but it was in the wrong direction. They did not perform well at all. I had a dyno test done with both and the stock reeds had 1 more hp on top then the boyseen. Then we put in some v-force reeds and they made 2hp over stock through out the whole rpm range. I sold the boyseen Rad valves on ebay.

I switched from the boysen to v-force 2 years ago and couldn't tell any difference.

in my oppinion stock ported cages with carbon tech reeds are better choice.cost less run just as good or better and the cages last a hell of alot longer.i have a set of g3's with the carbon fiber reeds and they perform great for me.
