Bansh88 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I just busted out my brand new Thor Quadrants. Rode just fine, very comfortable. Shifting took a few rides to get used to. My iold boots were Thor T-20s. Same scenario. Both were like $120 a pair. Expensive boots are for impressing people. Nothing more. Quote
watkins Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I have the tech 6's and they cost less than the tech 8's but im my mind are awesome boots. 2 seasons of pure abuse and they still are in great shape.... all boots are gonna be a pain in the ass to walk & shift in for the first trip or so.... but once you get them broken in you will forget your even wearing them... i'd save the $$$ and get the tech 6's if your gonna go with Alpinestar. superdave Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I have had tech 8's and now I ride with tech 6's.......and I like them....cheap boots are like cheap shoes..do not fit and hurt your feet. If you put on a cheap pair of boots and a nice pair of boots you will feel the difference....just my opinion...and we alll know about opinions....ds Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 I have tech 8's and they are really durable, my girlfriend has fox boots and has broke 2 buckles in the first 5 months, where as mine have just gotten dirtier in the last 4 years. Also tech 8's have the insert "booties" so you can take it out and wash/dry it. Quote
