Turbobanshee_kid
As my engine sits in the frame right this is what is done to it: My head is milled, About 3 hours of running time ago each cylinder had 160 or 170psi. I run 110 octane. My Cylinders are off a 2005 banshee engine and are on stock bore with wiseco pistons. My Crank is a TDR High Performance Rebuilt Crankshaft. To read what this is go to this link: https://maxvps006.maximumasp.com/v006u41ces...uctCode=91-5701 My engine also has a brand new ricky stator Flywheel and 200watt stator. The clutch is a EBC clutch, right now there is three heavy duty springs in there with three stock springs. Also i have a Hinson Billet Clutch Basket. What i would like to get in 6 to 8months is as follows: Brand new V-force 3 reeds: I can get them shipped to my door for $200 Aftermarket carbs: I will have to talk with my mechanic about what size i should get, I was thinking 33's,34's,or 35's, For maybe like $300 -/+ , yes i do have the T.O.R.S eliminator kit. Shearer inframe drag pipes brand new shipped to my door for $455. Hopefully i can sell my T-5's for $200 or a little more they are in great shape. And get my Cylinders PORTED!!!! for like $400 for a great port job. Looking for alot more middle to top end power. What do you think about the price's and do you think i should do somthing different? Also will I have to get Two small K&N's that will go on the carbs if i get Aftermarket carbs or can I use the stock air box???

J-Madd
Looks like you've already got everything figured out. Prices look pretty good. I don't believe you can run any bigger than 30mm carbs with the airbox, the boots won't fit, hell they barely, barely will fit the 30mm. I don't know if you can buy some different boots or not. edit: You didn't say anything about advancing your timing. I'd definitely do that. What size carbs you think i need? if you get any thing less than a full drag port don't go any bigger than 33's. full drag on stock cylinders no bigger than 35's
Hilarious
if you get any thing less than a full drag port don't go any bigger than 33's. full drag on stock cylinders no bigger than 35's I'm running 35 pwks on my dune port. Plenty of bottom and I have an awesome top end. Ditch the air box.
dajogejr
I would add you won't have any "mid" power with Shearers... They make a ton of power in a very, VERY narrow stretch...about a 2500 to 3500 RPM range. Unless you're looking to go full drag with that bike, or dune it wide open most of the time, I'd keep the T5s. They're great all around pipes, which will respond well to porting. Once you're ported, it'll run 35PWKs all day long...stock or aftermarket cylinder. You'll lose some off the bottom, but...you'll have more on top! To be honest, once you start going with a drag style pipe and larger carbs...it's really time to get rid of the airbox. They make boots that clamp on to larger carb bodies that go to your airbox, but with CPIs Or Shearers...you're going to have to hack your aibox to shit to get it to work anywho.... Then it's pretty much defeating the purpose. You're better off with pod K&Ns and outerwears....
