whats the stinger pipe

i was tak=lking w some one about banshees and i was not able to follow them. maybe it me but the pipe that comes out of the motor that twists up and is the fatest part of the exaust system is a head pipe which then goes into a long narrow pipe that runs parralell with the seat which i dont know what that called and then the silencer comes out the back of the bike.

the guy i was talking to said the stinger was the pipe that comes out of the engine and twirls up. is it called both the head pipe and the stinger pipe.

if some one could post a picture of the stinger pipe i would appreciate it.

the "stinger" is the pipe that connects the "expansion chamber" to the "silencer".

yep^^^^^^^^^^^ The narrow straight. Usually described with Drag pipes. Most run without any silencer so it's just the stinger at the end
