Yamashee1
A While back I was Riding at RockyRidge in Dcatur. Anyway There was this guy out There that was Riding a Shee and I swear he had Those Yellow Monroe truck shocks on the front of it. As I was looking at it you could tell he had to grind The side down where it sliped into the Shock mounts. Im just wondering would they Really Work? If they did it would be a Hell of alot cheaper Than AfterMarket shocks. I just Don't think I can bring myself to Try it.
nunyabinness
i actually thought about trying something similar. i thought about trying to use some air shocks from a car. i got the idea because fox has a set of air shocks out for quads. but i was told that it would be too stiff. i can't be of much help on this question because i haven't actually tried it but i told you what i was told. Animalman294
Auto shocks are designed to carry a 2700-3500 pound car not a 400 pound banshee. Those shocks won't have much give because of the weight difference, but if you try it let us now how it works............
dawarriorman
You should be shot for even asking this question.
racer
Auto shocks are designed to carry a 2700-3500 pound car not a 400 pound banshee. ehhhh, try again. the springs are rated for that load, the shocks only damp the motion. which brings up another point. vehicle shocks arent load bearing, unless you're getting them for a new prerunner. ClimbAnyHill
There's no way that would work. Even trucks run stiff.
okbeast
Yeah but you CAN compress some "car" shocks by hand, the same you can do with off-road ones. If you're planning on doing alot of jumping finding some old car shocks that are semi-worn out might work. Oh and Rocky Ridge sucks nuts.....I hate that place ::

Capone
Keep in mind cars also have heavy duty springs rapped around the shock..
