If you have some awesome tires it might help a little bit. Rs are quick as hell though through the first couple of gears. Somebody on here made a set of dirt paddles, I'd make a set too real quick so you don't get your ass handed to you ass bad by a 14 year old (although maybe he doesn't know how to ride and you'll win)

These cut Kenda Knarleys I believe will give your Banshee the best hook up on dirt you have ever had. Because they get such a bite on dirt, I have beat Banshee's I had no business winning against in a drag. I have not raced a 250R but chances would be much better for a win with this tire.

Now I don't have a Banshee as modded as you, but when my buddy took my Banshee up against my T4 (and I dont even have the mods that 250r has)... I buried the Banshee, Off the line it will be damn close but once that 250 hits 3rd your ass is grass... Now I'm no pro, so you might win but I seriously doubt it. Hopefully all of us doubting you will give you the push to go all out and smoke him. Good luck, your gonna need it!

Huh???? I dont no much about em but my freind has one he drag races and it didnt feel that fast, the powerband didnt hit as hard the the banshee did. We never drag raced but we used to ride roads all the time and on the straights he was always behind me when i was hammerin it. IDK like i said thats the only r ive ever ridden on or with so i have no clue

There were races near me the other night and I had to decide which bike to take, 88 310R with all the goodies or slammed down Banshee all worked up. My buddy stopped that also has a built shee, normally it is a no brainer the shee, but the drag was 280FT, it was at a local fair which was hosted by a drag club 8 miles away, I found that if you leave the line on the shee to hard your done, but if you slip the clutch in second off the line then short shift into 3rd the shee will get the R, but NOT by much or it will tie. I ran the shee that night, beat R's, all types of 450's, other banshees, I drew a 400ex in the final rounds, first pass run him down tie, next pass he got me by 4inches! 400 punched and stroked to 518cc, race gas, solid rear, shaws on the front. I ran turf tamers on mine and it did better than my buddies with the radials on it, hope this helps, GOOD LUCK!

One more thing I normally run the same gearing as you, I went with a 14 on the front and advanced my timing for 4 to 7 to take the edge off, also I bolted 250X shocks onto the front, not to much lift when shee hooks!

I have a 330 R and run alot of Banshee's that are drag ported. I get them out the hole every time and they can catch my bike. I have race stock cylinder 4mm Banshee and wip on them bad through all the gears. My R is known as the fastest TRX250R in this area. No other R's run as hard as my bike. In April I was at a drag race event 1/8 mile and was up against a 4mm cub. I launched on him real good. I was in front all the way to the 330ft mark and then goes right by me like I was standing still. I ran a 7.47 et at 88 mph and he ran a 6.70 at 101 mph.
