Advantages of FULL advanced timing?

Recommended Posts

Chase...it is the case split mark for the timing reference.

I leave mine at 8 and plus my dyna advances it another 4-5 degrees as well....

I'm running about 180PSI...110 octane mixed with Super M @ 40:1...

Im going to have to find out man what exactly my compression is. i can call the builder and he would tell me buI want to know for myself. If i can run the 110 . I can get 110 at the airport for what 3.50 gal ? , fuckin i cant pay 9.50 a gallon for the c12 ( expecially when the nearest place that stores it is 45 minutes each way )

Every 3 hours or so top's i have to fill her up. Shee Chugg's / RIPPS eheheh .

It's sitting in the garage, will be on next year!!! Should be done before the PS drags, I'd like to attend/race even though I know I'll get spanked, LOL! I have way too many cheeseburgers under my belt compared to the featherweight jockeys they tend to run

haha I hear ya their Travis, we need 10mm's  to keep up with the 125lb rider on the 4mm.

not saying your bike doesn't rip, cause i am sure it does, but 3 hours isn't really that bad on a tank of fuel. Granted mine is on alcohol but a tank last me about 45 minutes. But still with it on gas I don't think it lasted 3 hours. But i always have mine on the safe side. Chase you need to get your bike to the strip I, along with many others, are anxious to know what it will run!!

Sure seems like it!!! Made me sick to see my bike with a 160lb rider turn almost a half a second quicker than my time.

Chase, you do need to hit the track with your shee, I'm definitely anxious too to see what kind of time you'd lay down. I'm sure there is some kind of track you could go to, asphalt or dirt...hell, there may even be a sand strip somewhere nearby  What city do you live in now?

bigboy - i live in rockledge fla , im about 3 miles from ron jon's or cocoa beach .. been doin the surfin thing , hangin out all day at the beach with a cooler and my board... Such my type of a hobbie. Im a short and stubby guy anyways 190lbs... you dont got much on me.

the closest asphalt drag is , orlando motor speeed way and i cant get ahold of them to find out if i can run there , & what requierments do i need ( rear breaks i dont have / kill teather ) . I will run with my razr's i dont care , i just wanna see what shell do too. Havent really got her much into 5th AT ALLLLLLLLLLL ... motors got less then 2 hours on it. The gas estimation was judge'd by my last time riding 30 minutes tops for a qtr tank gas .. Id be lucky getting 2 hours i guess...

Other not close track is Immokolee florida , they allow atvs yet its a good 1.5 hour's from me atleast.

I cant find anywhere to really ride them besides the ocala forest ( they shut down ) .... Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.

Aww man, my track is about an hour drive from me and I go almost every weekend...load it up and get out there!! :headbang:

I don't think the rear brakes are a "requirement"...most of the tracks I've gone too just want you to have a form of brakes, doesn't have to specifically be the front or rear...calling them wouldn't be a bad idea though. Asphalt track here requires a helmet, jacket, and boots to race, that's it. The dirt track I go to just requires you to have a helmet and maybe a tether if you run faster than 5.20 I think.

yeah same here on the track requirements, helmet, goggles, gloves, jacket, pants, and boots. A little more strict but they don't look over my bike at all really cause you got over a 1/8th mile to slow down i guess is what they are thinking. And at my dirt track they only require a tether if you have twist throttle. and a wheelie bar if you got twist. and the other important stuff, helmet and all that. my ashpalt track is about 20-30 minutes and same with the dirt bout 20-30 minutes.

Chase...

You want to make sure that compression tester has a thread in adapter...no good if not.

Also...check to see if the threads are as long as the spark plug threads. If not, add a few PSI for the whole combustion chamber will be a little smaller with the plugs in it.

Take a cold reading, warm it up good...and take another reading ...as Travis said with the throttle wide open.

If that tester turns out cheesy, I've seen this one in person and it's very nice, will do quads and just about anything else:
