njbanshee
I'm selling my plus 2 and buying a bigger one. What is the right size? I run mostly asphalt but will run some sand too. i have around high 80 hp. I was told a +10 will spin tires. Thats what i was gonna get. Also, i have asphalt tires for the rear. Let me know what you guys think.
trex banshee
How you have your bike set up is another factor but with your horsepower I would say +8 or +10. Just comparing it to mine I have a +8 and have no idea about my horsepower but I would say it isn't as much as yours, and I can get it to spin on asphalt with my turf tamers but when i put the hoosiers on it just stand up in the first three gears. So start with an 8 and then go from there.
tomtunas
I run a +6 round house with a 421 stroker cub set up, I do the same with asphalt and off road no problems yet just have to get the shock revalved way to soft. with 85 horse I think the +6 would be fine. race-a-holic
Do you you want the front end to always stay down? Are you going to use a wheelie bar? Mine should dyno around 90-95.I have a +10 swingarm and +3 forward a-arms. It doesn't wheelie so far.Even with my slicks at the drag strip it stayed down. Tires become a big issue though when I go to the sand. Just need more paddles than if I had a shorter swingarm.
