Baybum
Just picked up my first Banshee for a steal. Has alittle surface rust on the foot guards and front guard. Anyone have paint recomendations? Thanks
Dinner
Sand them down clean, or Sand Blast them clean. Then i would just use Tremclad Rust Paint on the foot guards and front bumper. Put good number of thin coats on them and they should be good. Could even use a layer of clear coat if you wanted to. Or if you wanted to spend the extra money, you could get them PC'd. 'shee
If you want to get the exact color match, i went to a local paint store and had them color match my frame. If you want I can give you the paint code if you are interested.
okbeast
I'd definately go powdercoat since it's the footpegs and will get alot of wear.

'shee
Just to make sure, is it the silver that you are looking for, its not like the candy red color like on the 04-05 frames? Edited August 31, 2006 by 'shee

No it is the silver. How can you tell the year? I didn't get a title with this when I bought it. Is there a serial # that will tell the year? Thanks

Baybum
Ya didn't get the title when you bought it, maybe thats why the price was a steal............ When I stole it I forgot to ask the year. "Damn" new I forgot something. Got it from my buddies brother who needed the money. Gettng married. Never got a title. Guess I could call and ask but I felt guilty for only paying him $900. I know its worth at least $3000.
