Rebel3190
I was on ebay and seen one of them Dial-A-Jet Kits and the way i understand it is that you never have to rejet and i was wondering how this is possible.Anyone have one? dajogejr
Hell yes they're awesome... They basically get drilled and mounted in the air horn on the back of your carbs. The overflow tube for your floats is removed, and the hose goes from the bottom of the float bowl to this powerjet. You open a little knob on top the jet to increase fuel flow from about 1/2 to full throttle. The idea is you dial your main jet as lean as is safe. Then...you have about the equivalent of 10 main jet sizes at the twist of the knob. It's not a big deal for gas...but, for methanol it's huge...since they use so much fuel. I got mine done for two reasons. 1. Yeah, I'm going to methanol sooner or later. If I talk to jankab anymore, in person or on the phone....he's gonna trick me into it...I just know it... 2. Not sure when I'm going to go to meth (I won't be taking his calls anymore....) but...I plan on racing mine on the ice this year too. So...instead of richening up 2 to 4 sizes on the main to compensate for the much, MUCH colder temps...I just twist a bit....
pipebomb
do a search. I know I've posted a couple of times on how they work and what they do. makes a regular carb act like a lectron. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=59860&hl=

dajogejr
Yeah yeah yeah... Trust me, it's gonna happen boys. But...I think you'll agree...right now an override and lockup are a better investment before I go to meth... I've got the paddles, I've got the suspension to get it to the ground now....but without being able to shift great with a non-cut tranny....It would almost be a waste right now... txalky
your right lockup and override would be nice, but you can switch to meth for very very little money, but you have to be able to put it to the ground.
brian
And..... With your setup, you have to be buyin race gas or something. I know race gas runs about 5.50/gal minimum here. You can pump methanol for 1.95/gal, and buy for 1.75/gal by the drum. Even if you use 2x, you are still ahead.

Yeah, and I've got the right guy to do it too, which helps big time. I already had him powerjet my PWKs...knowing I'd be going to the "dark side" sooner or later... Problem is...I got a 6 over for my shee... I know I'm gonna need 8 to 10 once I get all this work done.... I'm 245 and I have fat boy traction working for me...
