ScreamingLiL2Stroke Posted August 26, 2006 Report Share Posted August 26, 2006 tonight on a ufc special they annouced that oct 10 on spike tv a free fight tito vs ken 3 lol i was all excited thinking it was gonna be something about Wanderlei Silva but it was that joke of a fight. but if ya think thats funny check this out: The baddest man on the planet Mike tyson was a suprise guest at PRIDE FIGHTING'S press conference to announce his official signing with PRIDE. The boxing legend addressed the crowd saying that he will be participating in PRIDE sometime in the near future. Iron Mike Tyson also revealed his feelings about PRIDE saying that it is the best fighting organization in the world with the most talented fighters, and that he is happy to be a part of PRIDE. He may not do great , But several people will get knocked the fuck out if they try to trade shots with him1 if that is true iron mike will get crushed in pride.he is no match for vanderlai, crocop,or fedor. Maybe back in tyson hayday when he was a real animal he would stand a small chance but even back when tyson was the man if he didnt end the fight fast it wasent much to watch. EXACTLY, and these guys are a whole different caliber of fighter than Mike Tyson.. They are what we call WELL ROUNDED.. Think about it.. What kinda take down defense you think he's got, or what he will do on his back.. NONE and NOTHING, he will be a hurting unit because like all other fighting I don't think PRIDE allows biteing :shoothead: RIPPEN A couple years back he had reportedly signed with K-1 (a kickboxing organization) and had started training Muay Thai. He was even doing press conferences with them. So, he has supposedly been training kickboxing since then, and if he had a head on his shoulders, he should have started training grappling as well. If in fact this event with Pride is not just a publicity stunt (as was the stint with K-1), then I think he might surprise a couple people with his technique(s). Although, I do not expect him to succeed too well. Either way, since Pride is bringing their promotion to the US, the idea of Mike Tyson fighting MMA will gather a lot of attention and publicity. Mike Tyson, like him or not, demands and gets media coverage and attention. There is no disputing that. I can gaurentee his first fight will get more media coverage and advertising dollars than any previous fight, period. Promoters are smart enough to give him a "lesser quality" opponent for his first fight to which he has a better chance of beating...which, he probably will. WHY? Cause the next fight will draw even more capital. However....once he starts fighting anywhere NEAR the cream of the crop...I don't think he'll last long at all. Watch your ears, boys...watch your ears. Crocop is one cold, bad ass fighter. I'd love to see him on UFC. I've never seen his ground game...but I've seen others try and take him down...he's got great takedown defense. You get hit with that left leg....lights out.
