FireHead
I can strap it to my dyno board and run it back to back on another motor with the Noligy coil. The problem is, I do not have a new OEM coil. The OEM coil that I do have does check out ok on the primary and secondary windings. :baseball_innocent: Edited August 31, 2006 by FireHead
FASTOYS
what i am wondering is if youre old and gay stock coil could of been replaced with a new stock coil and gave the same effect. i guess well never know. We have had several customers with non old and non gay  coils and they reported the same thing. Quicker starts , faster revs, cleaner response! Much hp on a dyno??? Prolly not! Then Noligy coil just seems to work better in general. :baseball_mitt:
dajogejr
I wasn't looking for ponies out of my nology, I wanted a reliable part for my motor. After spending all this mony on my cub motor....I wanted all new ignition as well. I think of it as why use old laces for new shoes...? Coil, Dyna...stator....and I know my ignition is mint... And... That coil might be part of the 1% of Brad's bike that isn't Chrome or polished... I'm surprised he didn't put some Chrome or reflective tape over that "plan ol' black" looking coil... The judges will give a slight deduction for that... :yelrotflmao:
csrmel
back in the day before aftermarket coils became cheap and popular on motorcycles, i had seen alot of people running autmotive coils on their bikes. i wonder if there would be anything to gain by trying one on a banshee. Personally, I do not believe that coils will make you any more horsepower. What higher technology coils can do, is charge and discharge faster and more completely. This nets you better throttle response and better high RPM perfomance. They can also charge more completely with less voltage, meaning that you bike may start easier. WHat it comes doen to is having a proper coil for you application. Past that, there isn't much performance to be had. :baseball_santa:
