im just over by Big Rapids, Michigan....about an hour from the dunes...let me know if you can make it from the U.P. and i'll bring an extra set of paddles for you to use...you can run around up there on stock tires but it is very hard on banshee's..they get hotter than hell...

Yeah, I've been to the dunes once this year, a long weekend of playing with jetting (every one known to man) only to find out it was leaking air...base AND head.

Needless to say, (and insert sound of knocking on wood) three perfect trips to the 300ft sand drags on my new motor, and I'm stoked to get out there!

JT (badass479...) had a similar setup last year as I do now (he has 39PWKs and drag porting) ...and now he switched to override, alky and a lockup, which...I'm planning on getting later this year.

I know he's gonna whoop me (unless I anchor him in the sand without him noticing...he he..) but, he and I are both very curious to see how each of our bike compare to each other....

And...since I'm dying to get alky and an override on mine, I might have to convince him to let me take his for a quick ride...

Problem is, once I ride it on alky and OR....I'm pushing it up my list that much sooner...and I might not come back on his bike...

you can ride it but I am holding on to the keys to that shinny new ram ya got!! :jesterlaugh:

figure if ya dont come back I can take your bike and sell the truck to make your bike as fast as mine was. :yelrotflmao:

should be a good time, I am trying to get some guys from work to come out and check it out. they have never been before so I figure I would show them around alittle.

oh and after you ride my bike with the alky and over ride everything else will go on the back burner. dont know why it took me so long to do. would not go back thats for sure!!

Damn...that's funny shit right there JT...:)

E keeps telling me, over and over, once I go alky, I'll never go back...and I'll wonder why I didn't go to it sooner. After riding his 4 mil he just sold last time at Bob's....it made me sick how nice they can shift and drag....

At least if I take off on yours...you have a pretty good starting point on mine. Won't have to go from square one. IF, and that's a big IF, things go right...I just might have a little surprise for ya...

Override and alky might be here by end of October....:)

I'm trying to get more people to go too...but, we'll see.

I am kinda scared to see your bike on alky cause you are only 2 tenths slower than my alky bike is and you are still on gas!!! although I have not been back since I figured out how to tune alky and all that crap!! cant wait to ride though, with all the crap I have gone through all I want is one weekend were I can hang out and ride and not spend the weekend in the trailer wrenchin!! which I am sure you know all about dave. you gonna try and make the oklahoma trip ??

No....4 tenths.

Best of 4.7 but consistent 4.9....but thanks...:)

I'll doo doo my drawers if I pull another .1 or .2 out once I try your 11 and E's 14 row paddles.

JT...did you pull that 4.3 with the lockup and override?

Brother, I spend Thursday through Sunday in the pits Early in the season, and I'm still hearing about it from buds... Lucky...we took Bob's truck out to the dunes, and I got to ride around on a few of their bikes....which was very nice of them.

Still...nothing like riding your own.

JT...I've got a roof to put on before end of year...which is gonna cost me. I have some other things to do around the house....too.

However, next year I'd like to make a few out of state trips, and Bob's up for it too. I know how your priorities are starting to follow the path I'm on now, can't blame you...I'm a year or so ahead of you on that curve. Sucks...but, toys gotta come second!!

This Mortgage and responsibility band wagon really sucks....less money for toys and beer!

Saw a earlier post that someone may be going the 30th? I could quite possibly make that trip if my banshee goes back together and doesnt break again. Im gonna give it hell around the yard for a few hours being it likes to blow on the dunes =\

I just gotta get my top end back together and cruise around a bit and see if it decides to work this time. Hopefully me switching to 110 race gas will get rid of my piston holes, BTW how much does alky run a gallon? I checked the price on the Torco 110 the other day and its $4.00 a gallon which isnt bad but if alky isnt much more maybe I'll give that a whirl for next summer.

A few pics of my last Silver Lake outing.
