hillclimb Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 I bought a 421 cheetah off a guy. The right side is not firing. The left is perfect. hillclimb Posted August 30, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 Checked compression 150 on both sides, changed plugs, swaped wires, double checked manual. What kind of stator do you have? I have the same motor and was having the same problem. Trinity told me it was because of the Ricky Stator. It was brand new and ohmed out correctly so I didn't beleive them but after not being able to find the problem, I bought an Yamaha stator and the problem dissapeered. Hopefully this fixes it! a leak down test will not tell if you have a broken reed. it will still fire on a broken reed. if you have spark on both plugs at the same time it is not your stator. your problem is fuel or air.
