madden
Just want some info or pics on the best spot to extend the stock swingarm? I was thinking 2"-4" extension.
00tbanshee
not sure but i would check ebay out they have some cheap swingarms on there that you can use your stock carrier
Animalman294
I think the swingarm shop is on there and sells swingers for the stock carrier, but as for extending your stocker, if I remember right you need to cut behind the shock mount. Someone chime in if this is not right. You may also do a search because you are not the first one to ask this and I know for a fact that it was asked before.................. Good luck
broke
Animalman is right, you need to add length in between the shock mount and the carrier.
SvrdRam
yea, dont do what i did.......i cut from infront of the shock mount cus it was the easiest and squarest spot to add to........then i made some new shock mount tabs and welded in a piece of 2 inch square stock to mount the shock from.........came out bad ass.....ground down all the shit at the end......likes nice and smooth now.......to bad i need a 6 or 8 inch.....not a 4 inch anymore
WALLACE84
If you decide to extend your stocker, here is a link for you!! http://www.westcoastatv.com/Technical/Swin...swingarmext.htm ~Dan
BigRed350x
If you are a competant welder, do it yourself. Cheap and it works. Make sure you can weld good though or you will find youself sitting on a cracked swinger right behind the jump you just came over. westcoastatv
I noticed there are some links in this topic to a page from my old website concerning extending a stock banshee swingarm. That page is obsolete but there is a new one if anyone is interested. It can be found at http://www.westcoastatv.com/banshee_swingarm_ext.html
Animalman294
Wow, I was wondering why someone brought up a post from August of '06.
05Special
I extended my stocker and cut it in the wrong spot. I just made some new shocks mounts and she was ready to go... Make sure the welds are GOOD
