BigRed350x
lol correction (wrong quad model) http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...04&navType=type Looks like what I have and mine work fine. Getting to be about time to replace my ball joints though. I'm thinking about doing some modifications to them to run heim joints. If you have the extra cash go with heim joints. I think aftermarket a Arms will show how weak the stock front shocks are..and probably make the ride worse!!!

I think aftermarket a Arms will show how weak the stock front shocks are..and probably make the ride worse!!! Depends on what you are after. I ran stock shocks on my +2+1's for about 4 months and kinda liked it. Made the ride nice and smooth since you had a lot more leverage on the shocks. If you jump though its a bad idea, they will bottom out easily. If you are just cruising around or doing trails they are pretty nice. It is a good idea to get shocks and suspension parts all at the same time though.

Of course...that would be my advice too...but, that's just a few dollars more, no big deal, right?? Red...I'll have front and rear marvins end of this week...shipped out yesterday... Can't wait to see how those babies ride for drag and dunes!!

I agree I should get the shocks at the same time here. Ive saved enough money to get some stuff done to her specially since the season is coming up I think the swing arm might be my last buy : ( You think the elkas and those a-arms are a good choice? Are works suspensions worth buying btw? Thanks again!
Thoughtshewas18
http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...29&navType=type Actually im thinking of this maybe now. Even though I really want the elka's! This has to be a pretty decent setup though?? I will be mainly just desert / dune riding.

dawarriorman
Good set-up. Those are the arms Im looking at getting. Although their kit prices are kind of on the high side. RM does have good prices though, but I think Magic Racing might be a little lower. Get those a-arms, and somebody elses shocks, and you'll probably save money. $580 a-arms + $900 shocks of your choice + $100 brake lines, and you're still cheaper than the kit. EastCoast Banshee
If your looking at the kit for 1600+ there are alot better companys to go with than HydroDynamics for that kinda money. Get some rolldesign, lonestar, or Quick sand a-arms and a nice ass set of shocks. Hell i even think Jenssen sells LT kits on ebay for 1600 somthing. Iv herd about HydroDynamics a-arms breaking before and not just once. Its somthing to consider. Here are a few links if your looking at spending that kinda money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Elka-Shocks...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...1QQcmdZViewItem

I've seen pictures of all the a-arms you mentioned broken (edit, not quicksand), and others you didn't mention. I've seen a set of Roll a-arms broken in person (off center landing on the front right tire, bottom arm snapped right below the shock mount). The test is whether or not they back their a-arm, and if they use quality components. Edited August 21, 2006 by dawarriorman
