olmick
Me and my buddies do alot of drag racing on pavement, and im tired of loosing to them. Will this be enough to outrun them? A set of t6's, K&N clamp on filters, and a jet kit. The quads im losing to is the 450's, a baja 650, and a 660 raptor. The only mods some of them have are a slipon pipe and a filter and thats it. So how do u guys think i would do with the new setup against them? Is there any other small mods i can do because i really dont wanna do motor work right now? 2strokesmoke
those are some of the fastest 4 strokes on the market , yea your still gonna have trouble with them. get more work done or go pick on a 400ex or z400
bigboybanshee
If you're going to go with Toomeys I would get the T5's instead. I agree with 2strokesmoke, you'll probably still have trouble beating them with just pipes and filters, but those mods will make a noticeable difference if you're banshee is stock now. Are you running stock gearing?

crazybluerider
With those mods it will be hard for you to beat them. Practice your launches and shift points and maybe you can smoke them on skill. You could also shave your head and advance your timing that will help and its on the cheap. olmick
Right now its a toss up between me and the raptor, the 450's can take me by about 4-5 bike lengths, and the baja is the fastest of the bunch, so with pipes u guys are saying that it will still be hard to take them? I was thinking with pipes and filters that it would really wake up the banshee but i guess im wrong

I was thinking with pipes and filters that it would really wake up the banshee but i guess im wrong for sure the pipes and filter will wake up that shee. a milled head is a easy way to get some more power .its a lot in the way you shift , dont listen to those 4 strokes shift your points are way different . keep the rpm up and the powerband in that will help you alot. if you are racing on the street take off in second wide open throttle , slip the clutch if it starts to come up . i race alot of 4 pokes but i have a lot of work done, that is why i tired of getting beat by those tractors. let us know how it works out
race-a-holic
I definitely suggest the "T-5's". Get rid of the airbox and add slip-on K&N's. This will be a problem though if you ride in alot of water and mud. Make sure to rejet. Make sure to keep the throttle pinned when you shift. Shifting at the right time is extremely important.Practice,practice. Practice launches. If you have to,build a wheelie bar.
tonyown
hmmm... I just have fmf fatty's and pro design air filter and I win against a stock 450r easy... and the raptor 700 is about a feet in front of me on all my gear but the 6th cuz he goes faster.... chase@miamiatv.com
honestly what makes a banshee fast , is porting & pipes . Garuntee'd with a nice port job you will walk on the 450r's 660's and all that garbage valve cam shit . IF your banshee can breathe and flow , Your bike will go ! And if you do alot of asphalt racing ( weather its drag racing or just ripping it ) why not go with more of a inframe drag pipe ( shearer , grr , rocket , cpi , etc.. ) . Just my opinion ..... BasicBajaX
Your going to need alot of porting and tuning to keep up with some of us slow pokes!
NY350twin
If you dont know this already, when you drag you gotta start out in 2ND GEAR . Learn and practice launching it out of second and the difference will be night and day.
BANSHEEMANIA
I can beat my buddys' piped and jetted ds650, but my shee is ported with 155psi compression. I don't beat him by all that much, so I'm pretty sure I'd be getting beat without the port work.
