greencoloredride
I really can't see why everybody is so loyal to toomey. Compare greencoloredride's toomey t-6's (in his sig above) to my Dynoport big volumes (more like an inframe drag pipe than anything) Maybe I'm stupid, but I always thought the straighter it goes, the higher it flows? :: 2 strokes are not all about flow for producing power. Reflected pressure waves from the exhaust contribute to compression and power production. Hince the shape of 2 stroke pipes. I dont work for toomey but I can see that curves in the pipes could quite possibly affect the return pressure pulses to compensate for the curve of the headpipe back down to the exhaust port. I cant guarantee this but Its my theory. Also whenever you get into bigger and more extreme motors, maybe the curve in contrast to the volume isnt as important. Just my .02 Ive also gathered that midrange and lowend pipes have more curves and the t6s make all around power. This is probably the reason for an S bend but nothing extreme like paul turner mx pipes or anything equivalent. DubaiBanshee
its all about skills and how fast you shift the gears, Banshee its like GT skyline: accept any kind of modifications and easy to installed. 4 strokes are like a Ferrari or Porsche: limited to modifications and expensive. silencethevoice
Me and my buddies do alot of drag racing on pavement, and im tired of loosing to them. Will this be enough to outrun them? A set of t6's, K&N clamp on filters, and a jet kit. The quads im losing to is the 450's, a baja 650, and a 660 raptor. The only mods some of them have are a slipon pipe and a filter and thats it. So how do u guys think i would do with the new setup against them? Is there any other small mods i can do because i really dont wanna do motor work right now? With a decent set of pipes, jetting and filter I don't see why you can't at least smoke the 660 and the 650.. In my experience those things are slow as shit.. The 450s on the other hand, it may be up to your riding skills.. It also depends on if you're talking yamaha or honda (there's a big difference.. ) ... In my experience your biggest challenge is the yfz450s.. When I would drag with them, I would usually get beat by at least a bike length or two every time.. I wouldn't spend money on mods just to be able to beat your buddies at dragging.. Chances are you will still get beat once and a while and then it makes the money you spent hurt even more.. Just try to have fun and enjoy the new power your ride has.. My .02.
