Rebel3190
What the hell do reed spacers do as far as performance.
CadillacBanshee
They are supposed to create a tunnel to let are flow better like the lungz bullshit. I took them off of my bike because they didnt help, but when i got my bike ported i threw them back on after a few rides and they made a small difference in acceleration. dajogejr
What the hell do reed spacers do as far as performance. Nothing... They're used for clearing the clutch arm once you get bigger carbs...and...since you're putting bigger carbs on, you'll get a bigger increase in performance... LiftdT4R
They are just like throttle body spacers on cars, absolutely useless. I had them on my bike, and I didnt notice a difference either, think they're laying in my trailer now. Maybe with biggercarbs, like said above it might make a difference? I don't know, but I couldnt tell any difference.
Snopczynski
The idea behind reed spacers is they move the reeds further away from the piston in hopes of emulsifying the fuel and air charge more before it enters the engine. They make more mid-top power. I have a pwk 35mm carb bowl with a welded drain on it for clearing the clutch arm.
Bansh-eman
I have a pwk 35mm carb bowl with a welded drain on it for clearing the clutch arm. i as well have the bowl welded. but the spacers have nothing to do with performance, its an alternative to welding the bowl much like the jugs spacer and cutting domes for a long rod stroker.same solution for a problem just two differant way of fixing it.
